Hearts don’t have 59,000 fans making parkhead bouncing to deal with. That’s a nonsense argument mate.I think 800 for us fine. Hearts can win there with 800. The fan number is not the problem

Great how they can spend the cash for new turnstiles for the tims coming to Ibrox but those in CR are getting shafted by having 1k extra fans using the same amount of turnstiles next season. The only reason that 800 was chosen was on the advice of Police and Rangers security as the only safe alternative to 7500.
It was always seen as too low by the club but they had to follow the security advice.
The full 2500 European allocation causes problems for Rangers fans in the Broomloan by reducing the turnstiles available to them so the club needed to act on this going forward.
We will add extra turnstiles to accommodate the European allocation which will therefore increase the turnstiles available to Rangers fans in the Broomloan on big European nights
It is this change which allows us to increase the away support and get more of our fans into the piggery.
Think we’ve already been reduced to 2,500 and that’s within hours of the announcement. It'll start at 3,000 today, then by the time of the first game at the piggery the peasants will make up some excuse, probably health and safety, to lower that amount. We'll be lucky to see 2,000 Bears at their dump.
They have the number of fans against them, and the same number in Park. Like you said, it doesn't stop them beating usHearts don’t have 59,000 fans making parkhead bouncing to deal with. That’s a nonsense argument mate.

Agree, give them 800Well I personally think the old firm games at Ibrox have a louder home crowd when there's an away crowd to bounce off of.
This isn't some kind of staunch off.
Their demands? Just because you didn’t want an increase in allocations doesn’t mean everyone thought the same. But we don’t hate them as much. We give in to their demands. We fail to make a stand and they dictate the narrative.
Enjoy your day. Be careful what you sing, though. They took our anthem and have had us arrested…
if they are getting any tickets behind the goal, then we need to also get tickets behind the goal at the rolf harris arena. It HAS to be like for like.I completely get this thread will not be popular, as probably most the people on here are the people who go to away games.
The decision to give Them 2500 is a huge decision, and primarily a decision to appease the minority of vocal and committed fans who go to away games, and want to go back to Celtic Park to support our team.
Firstly, I completely understand the argument for for those supporters.
I find strange:
1:Statements saying the league/sky were involved. Why? Tv deal is locked in for years
2: The club losing money to compensate season ticket holders for 2 games a season. How can a company with shareholders justify less revenue?
3: welcoming a team who don't recognize our club, the old firm, ran pedophile ring for 30 years with open arms, and still giving them prime tv seats
4: wanting to treat them any differently from other clubs in the league
It should be 800 fans, we all wanted this a few years ago, but because the most vocal want to go to parkhead, thousands of fans will now miss out supporting our team at Ibrox
We gain nothing from having them in our stadium but we lose a lotI completely get this thread will not be popular, as probably most the people on here are the people who go to away games.

We all didn’t want this a few years ago.
And the fact the poll below is EXACTLY 50/50 right now, it tells you it isn’t the minority and infact the support is completely split on it
Totally agreeI completely get this thread will not be popular, as probably most the people on here are the people who go to away games.

If you want to go down the route, social media is showing a clear majority of people wanting this.I don’t think you can assume that a poll on here is representative of the support as a whole.
As the OP points out, many on here are probably amongst those who attend away games and so more likely to be in favour.
It's about 50 / 50I think the first paragraph kind of contradicts the thread title. I don’t think it’s a minority at all.
Personally I think the minority are the ones who want either 800 or no fans at all at either ground.
They wanted Rangers fans locked out to accommodate scum?Their demands? Just because you didn’t want an increase in allocations doesn’t mean everyone thought the same.
99% of the people I know attending the games wanted this, FF isn’t the voice of the Rangers support
They’ve done the complete opposite. They helped our loyal fans. They should be treated no differently to any other team. Sickening from the club today. Shat on our own loyal fans and now hiding behind Sky wanted it fairy tales.
If it’s the spectacle they want, maybe all powerful Sky will step in and ask Kilmarnock, Motherwell, st Johnstone, Hibs and St Mirren why they have thousands of empty seats for televised games, rather than sell us the tickets?
People are rejoicing at putting season ticket holders out of their seats they’ve paid for, to accommodate and welcome back 2.5k of that lot and their songs of hate and everything else twice a season. If it was up to me, I’d never let even one of the smelly bastards through the turnstiles. I do attend away games, I get annoyed when I don’t get one. But I’d sacrifice an away ticket at the piggery to not allow them into our magnificent stadium. That’s my opinion only.

Highly doubt that 3000 makes any sort of difference in a 61k capacity.Wouldn’t be surprised if Sky had a say in the allocation numbers.
I think the same could apply, ie the more committed being more likely to make a point of commenting on this.If you want to go down the route, social media is showing a clear majority of people wanting this.
If their in BF1 they don't have to come down Emiston Drive, mentally challenged barriers means they can be shoe horned from Broomloan Rd in to the stadiumThen you would have to escort them in along Edmiston drive.
Whilst it makes sense inside the stadium to have them in bf1, outside is more important and the nature exit down Broomloan road probably means it won’t change
I don’t believe that sky forced us into accepting more of them at ours for an OF game, but, if they did I’ll bet dollars to donuts that someone at Celtic was involved with a wee word in the right ear. It’s what they do, everything is political with these rats.TV runs football. Sky want the SPFL deal for 4 old firm games a season, it’s that simple.
It’s the biggest part of the deal, and if those games have no away fans contributing to the atmosphere, then they’ll be making life very difficult for the SPFL. The league haven’t to this point; but they would start to invoke the rules and punish clubs who failed to deliver the minimum requirements if Sky started threatening to exit.
Even though our deal is a pittance compared to the EPL, it’s still millions of £ a year and a consistent revenue stream for the full league. You don’t bite the hand that feeds you.
2.5-3k fans is a sensible compromise. Mygers will benefit (more value in having it for a chance of a ticket) and the away support which isn’t a ‘minority’ but is actually the essence of the Rangers support and not just the casual fans.
If its all about TV why have Sky not intervened in the last 6 years. This new arrangement will see no difference to how the games looked when they gave us 700-800 tickets at the piggery. Its the exact same corner with an extra 1500 tickets.TV runs football. Sky want the SPFL deal for 4 old firm games a season, it’s that simple.

No “we all” didn’t want it reduced to 800 several years ago so stop peddling this nonsenseI completely get this thread will not be popular, as probably most the people on here are the people who go to away games.

So if a poll on here doesn’t represent the rangers support, or social media doesn’t represent the Rangers support, what exactly does?I think the same could apply, ie the more committed being more likely to make a point of commenting on this.
Interesting though that this time around the club didn’t canvass views of ST holders.
Perhaps because of the likelihood that the response would be similar as previously.
They’ve done the complete opposite. They helped our ‘entitled’ fans.

Enjoy your day out. Hope it was worth it.
Yeah, having an extra 2300 rangers fans at Parkhead doesn’t suit usIt's nothing to do with our fans, purely to suit the tims!
They don’t care about empty seats at those games because anyone not there is watching the game on their channel.
The Old Firm game is the only one on their Scottish scheduling that actually attracts a UK wide viewership. That’s why they want to maximise it.
What’s the basis behind us “rolling out the red carpet” for them? They will continue to traet our fans like scum when we go there - we will roll out the red carpet - its sickening - There should have been lots of issues to be dealt with before agreeing to ANYTHING with these scumbags - eg not hiding our fans away out of sight of TV and in restricted view etc
Sky were only upset that they can’t fawn over the mhanks in the Broomloan and treat us to the usual Tim fest ….. it’s a fantastic PR vehicle for the Tim’s, while our fans are invisible at the piggeryTV runs football. Sky want the SPFL deal for 4 old firm games a season, it’s that simple.
