Couple of Hundred bears in the Celtic end at parkhead ?

Was one of the bears in their end that day.
Me and my brother went to a steward and told her we fell coming up stairs and needed first aid room. She took us round pitch and left us to get aid. We told the different steward who was taking us back we had came from the rangers end. So he took us and put us in with the rangers support. Job done :)

Did that on a couple of ocassions when young and stupid, didn't work at the Butcher 1-1 game and had to go back into poet end.

Lasted until the polish wank scored then bolted. Horrific experience, but never missed a game in those days.

I remember watching with interest from the Rangers end because some of the guys who had came up from London had home tickets, they had interesting stories for the train back.
If I'm correct it happened more than once around that time.

Aye mate, did only that one time
Couldn't stand to be that close to the smelly bastards again.

The game that I was in the celtic end the wall collapsed before kickoff because the guy I was staying with was injured and was carried pitch side on a stretcher.
He got a tidy sum of money of the filth when he put in a claim for the injuries he received.
Another thing I remember a bear getting hit by a black taxi on the London Road, the driver was wearing a celtic top and was pulled out of the cab and given a right kicking.
I was at that game as well I think, wasn't it a course of bricks that came down from the upper turnstiles wall onto the crowd below?
Place was a deathtrap!

it was deffo april 1987, I was in the traditional gers end but sold my spare ticket for the Celtic End. Which was purchased in the old Celtic shop in West Nile Street! I'm sure they used to sell Rangers End tickets in that shop as well.
Bought our tickets from the same place, walked in and asked for 4 tickets for the Rangers end, when we were told they'd sold out we just said "give us four for the home end then".

One memory from the game was two beggars in front of us started singing "Mo, Mo, Super Mo" and they got drowned out at the end with a "Fck yer Maurice Johnston" from all the Bears around them.

You are probably right there mate, all I'm sure of is the guy I stayed with ended up in hospital quite badly hurt.
It certainly was a deathtrap, shit hole then and still a shit hole.

I remember this game
Went with out a ticket bought a main ticket from Celtic fan

But later managed to get a Rangers end ticket and sold the main stand ticket to another rangers fan as he was willing to go there to see the game

I was fortunate enough to be in our own end that day, but it was hilarious watching the mongs scatter when they realised they had been infiltrated by 100"s of Bears, who weren't for backing down.

Not enough tickets to accomodate us, so many simply bought tickets for thier end knowing there would be a fair amount doing the same.

Pretty sure there was a press clipping on old boards about this.

I was in the Rangers End that day, Just remember seeing a chunk of the crowd up the Scum end, near the bottom of the floodlight going bananas when we scored.

I don't remember it that way. I remember a large section not celebrating when Celtic scored, a lot of scuffles etc, the police moving in and that area pretty deserted by the time we scored. I cannot remember seeing any celebrations in that end when we made it 2-1. I am not saying you are wrong, just that I have a different recollection of events.

Mate you could be right as it was a while ago and the memories a bit foggy.
I do remember the lads being led along the track to our end.

Here's my memory, had ticket for Rangers end but sold it and bought ticket for away end to stick with my mates from Birmingham who could only get away tickets
Davy Cooper took a corner from the jungle side of the Celtic end and Bonner misjudged the cross and it ended up in the net. Ref chalked it off for foul against the keeper but not before loads of us had blown our cover
We were escorted out by the cops, promptly bought more tickets but on the way back in, the same cops spotted us and we got thrown out again

Me and my mate were in the sellik end that day only to be approached by a copper 20 mins before kick-off asking which team we were supporting.

We couldn't bring ourselves to say we were scum fans so we said that we were 'neutrals' and that this was our first OF game. The copper just laughed and said "aye right, if this was the Copeland Road you'd be singing the sash right now" We were duly escorted from the piggery which is just as well because by the time we got back to EK we were getting pumped

GiantChelsea and I were just talking about this game a couple of days ago. I was in the Rangers end and like everyone else we were amazed when the Scum scored the hundreds that didn't celebrate.

My uncle told me that this was not a rare occurrence in the late 40's, early 50's and that he had done it himself. I couldn't quote the game but he told me that they melted away like snow off a dyke in July after their usual thrashing in those days.
