David Turnbull

When you're a poor team, above average players or those with a bit of heart stand out. But it doesn't mean they're good enough. We've learnt that more than most in recent years with the likes of Barrie McKay, Candieas, Waghorn, etc. Turnbull is at best at the level of those players.

If you look at the teams yesterday, Turnbull could most directly be compared to Aribo in terms of what was expected of them and the role they were playing. Aribo v Turnbull is as much a comparison as Brian Laudrup v Rudi Vata, or Henrik Larsson v Filip Sebo. It's a complete mismatch.

Only when that lot start to improve will they realise this.

Aye larsson couldn't lace sebo boots

How old are you?
Younger than McStay but old enough to have watched him in his prime. As I said, he was a decent player, but he was not a top player.

McStay was overhyped beyond his ability, They are starting the same nonsense with Turnbull. Who is not and will not be as good as McStay.

I'm now, in retrospect, quite glad we didn't sign him.

Early 20's and has bad knees. Hardly can see out a game.

No pace either, and goes MIA when up against a high tempo team like Rangers.
