Davie was at the centre of my youngster days memories of following Rangers around the land. He was A True Blue!

Best eleven ever. Everyone and their granny knew that team off by heart.
Traveled just about everywhere ( in the UK ) supporting the team.
Best era ever,by a long way for me.

This is a great photo. Wembley 1965. Made me think, had to look it up. The round necked strip must have been reasonably new as the 63 strip was v neck.

Even newer than you think as Scotland were wearing the V neck strip for the 1-0 victory against England at Hampden in 1964.

The round neck was the one I remember, the v neck was just before my time. Couple of mates had original v necks given to them by John Whites brother.
