Derek Ferguson / The Blues Brothers

His first public game I believe was v Airdrie at Broomfield and I was there and it was mobbed.

I genuinely can’t believe how he has turned on our club

BBC Scotland has warped his memory and his views are so bitter

He is really taking the piss if that’s his memory as it’s complete lies

But for his stupidity in not willing to learn from Souness (one of the greatest midfielders Scotland ever had), Derek Ferguson could have been a Rangers great. It seems as if he carries a large chip on his shoulder re the Club for some reason. Rather pathetic and sad with the only loser continuing to be Derek Ferguson.

Is he unaware that we have this thing called the Internet where we can check these kind of things?

Our average attendances from the Fitba stats website. Bear in mind the capacity at Ibrox was about 44000 back then I think and the season ticket culture was not as ingrained as it is now. Seasons 1989/90, 1990/91 and part of 1991/92 are when Mo played.

Looked on wiki there, ground held around 42,000 at that point, home crowds for the first few games were between 39,000 odd to 41,000 odd when he signed.

Edit, bluenose above shows it far better than I could. :D

Some day for the Ferguson Brothers

Its almost like they're in a competition to be the thickest family walloper

Mo Jo done a Roofe eek
:)
I was thinking the same looking at that picture.

As for Fergie, his mind is fecked if that his recollection but I am baffled why nobody else put him right on it.
I seen the odd person refuse to celebrate a goal when he scored when he first joined(v Aberdeen when I was in the west enclosure springs to mind when there were a couple of people near me who ranted and were shot down by others) but generally the GIRUY to them did override the initial fact we had signed him then when he scored in the last minute against them I felt even that odd reaction stopped.

Can't deny I thought he was a wee fecker when he missed those two sitters in his first old firm game within the space of a few minutes and thought he didn't want to score against them right enough :)

Not like him to spout utter shit.

Everytime he describes a football team he uses the usual cliches “aggressive, can play a bit, can go long”. Boy is clueless but looks clever because he’s sitting beside Frank McAvennie who doesn’t know his left from his right

Just shows you that any incident slowed down or captured on film doesn't tell full story.

Might be wrong but I'm pretty sure crowds were higher the season he signed than the season before.

Shut up Derek, you are forever making stuff up to keep onside with the rest of the Shittish media. 'Half empty' kinda guy that you are.

I really admired Ferguson as a Rangers player, one of my idols when I was a kid.

He is a genuine media patsy though - properly willing to say anything to toe an editorial line. Very disappointing that this is how he carries on.

Mine too, he was my favourite player; seemed a natural. He could have been a legend.

Derek was a cracking player, but always as thick as pig Shiite, otherwise he would have progressed to be a great player.
