A man who divided opinion by all accounts but was a big name in English football.
Loved his club, RIP.
Deadly Doug was the type of character the game misses now. RIP.
A character who was not without flaws. No denying his love for his club, however.

A character and a half by all accounts.
Often seen him around where I live, as he had business interests here
Deadly Doug, his yacht, Gazza, Linkeker's missus and Nigel Kennedy.
One of his biggest regrets in life was hiring Billy McNeill, quite an endorsement that one.
Deadly Doug was certainly a character and done much for Villa .
Never suffered fools either. RIP.
McNeil contributed towards relegating two teams from that league in the same season.
