Where's everyone staying and what date is the game likely to be on ?

Looking at booking soon and never been before.
 
Where to stay depends on your budget.

Marina, JBR, Palm & JLT are the main tourist areas and where the majority of British people live and socialise. Plenty of good hotels to choose from.

Tecom (Barsha Heights) & Al Barsha are a 5 minute taxi away and hotels would be a good bit cheaper but a bit less Western and full of hookers. Bars would probably be full of African hookers and Filipinos. The 2 Rangers pubs are here but will be empty on non match days.

Deira & Bur Dubai end of town if you're a sex tourist.

Prostitution not illegal ?
 
Millennium Airport Hotel is good quality and decent location.
Train is out the back to all locations.
Bur dubai and other dodgy areas on your doorstep.

Never been but a mate explained it like Dubai authorities encourage it and turn a blind eye. It was thought that without them it would be difficult to attract rich foreign businessmen and a certain type of tourist. So it’s tolerated pretty much and booming.

Maybe one of the others could correct me if that’s wrong.

I’m over here just now, and fully concur on the fat wallet! The booze is horribly expensive, especially when you consider the double whammy of the weak £.

3 litres of spirits picked up at Glasgow airport were a godsend, would be flat broke if I hadn’t.

I’ll be in the Grand Hyatt from Monday 6 til Monday 13. I’ve stayed there before and it’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. An amazing place !
