Dujon Sterling - quality player

Probably the best player we have now aside from Super Jack. I’d be building my midfield around this guy. In a day where the usual players shrunk, he stepped up and showed he at least has what it takes. No mean feat when you’re being shifted all over the pitch too in multiple positions. Well done to him, pace, power, aggression and constant graft and hard work.

Build a team round him rather than shunt him around filling gaps.

And by the way, I’d have expected the manager to know that before today.

As I said on the match thread...

"If only we had more players with the heart of Butland and Sterling."

A colossus.

Build the team around this man next season. Not sure if he’s a captain or not, but his strong statement about the lack of desire suggests he might be.

He and Butland can stay the rest need to pack their bags

The worse thing about this is we all knew how they would set up and how we would set up and we all knew the likely outcome

I'd half-joked on here a wee while back about him trying his hand at centre-half. He was imperious in there today.

He's too good to be a utility player though. Right-back, centre-midfield, centre-half even. Just commit him to one position from next season. A crucial player.

Play him in midfield alongside Dio and we will look much better
Lundstram cost us that game - was poor at their first scored their second and what can you say about the red. Hope to not see him again

Absolutely. I said on the match thread he was by miles our best player today and we should rebuild our team round him.

I don’t think that would be happening if it weren’t for a lot of injuries. Worrying that for us is he looked more assured playing in other positions than the players who’re meant to specialise in those positions.

He's getting closer and closer to taking Butlands place at the Euros as a backup keeper.

In all seriousness, he's the best player we have in now four positions and counting. That's alarming.

Yup. He defended Kyogo better than Goldson, Balogun, Davies or Souttar ever has for us.

Feel for him. Asked to play positions apart from the one he wants to play and is best in (midfield).

Hung out to dry today by Clement.
