Match Thread Dundee v Rangers - 20:00 Wednesday - Sky Sports

The team is playing like the league is gone and they’ve lost all belief it’s still there for the taking.

We can bemoan injuries, lack of options, some players legs having gone, etc but there’s a clear lack of fight and passion on the park and that’s the unforgivable and unfathomable bit.

Looking like they’ve given up at a time when they need to give everything they have is why we have the same chat every season and why they get labelled as bottlers.

When the chips are down and it’s really time to prove themselves they chuck it.
 
I thought Roofe started well but rather faded away.

Sima -- looks as if he wants to get the ball, which is always a good sign.
I thought he had a couple of claims for penalties -- being pushed when about to shoot, then being wrestled down in the box at a corner.

Silva: I can see the skill in the guy, but sadly this isn't the game for it.
Get Matondo on with the instructions to shoot on sight.

I've found Cantwell a bit disappointing tonight tbh.
Haven't seen anything special from Lawrence that I wouldn't expect from any other midfielder at this level.
Lundstram has tried to spray passes about but again this might not be the game for it.
Although slow, he at least looks as if he's trying to do something, rather than just get shot of the ball.

As we all thought, Sterling is being completely wasted at LB.

So, Matondo on now at HT for Silva.
Then Dessers will almost certainly come on for Roofe at 65mins or so.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Lawrence also being subbed, although I'm beginning to run out of players that I want to see come onto the field instead. McCausland ?
 
I'd take Lawrence off and Raskin on

Take one player out that hole and let the front 3 use that space, it's far to crowded,

Silva off McAusland on and more Sima to the left

Probably a good thing going by that 1st half performance mate. When i match thread a game i do this weird thing and dont actually read the posts but just refresh the page and as soon as i see a jump of at least 2 pages there is a good chance its a goal.
 
Grim times being back to watching us in the hope we're going to score rather than any expectation.

With the addition of the absolute fear that if we go behind we aren't winning, this is not what we should be getting served up in a team allegedly still fighting for a title.
 
Do we think that the manager gives them their character one too many times, then the senior players just chuck it and get the manager the punt? Its fucking ridiculous how effort and desire just falls away.
 
Have I missed something and we're actually 5 points clear and a couple of goals ahead?

I ask as that's what the players seem to think judging by the tempo they're playing at.

And I don't care that Sterling was signed as a defender, the boy is a midfielder and when we take him out of ours, then by God we are so lightweight.

Soft touch in the middle and teams know this.

Season defining 45 minutes, anything other than a win and it's game over.
 
Why are teams miles below us in the league fitter,faster,stronger and sharper than us? That's criminal. Our best chance of a goal tonight is from a set piece. 45 minutes to save our league title ambitions. Truly awful Rangers.
 
Motherwell, Ross County + Dundee have a better game structure than we do. We don't look as though we know what to do - and that's also on Clement.

Another abject performance.

Need to roll the sleeves up in this league. Too many of our team don’t fancy doing the ugly stuff.
 
I couldnt bring myself to watch thus tonight. It really is our last hope. Going by the comments, its as bad as sunday was.
