Like Mulguy earlier in this thread I too was at the Scotland-Brazil match at Hampden in 1966. Pele had a quiet game but I do remember him jumping for a header. He got so high it looked looked like he was on springs!

The greatest team I ever watched was that 1970 Brazil team.
They had several players who were utterly magnificent and would be mentioned in any All Time XI debates.
Carlos Alberto, Jairzinho, Gerson, Rivelino, Tostao were all world class. Yet every one of them totally understood and agreed that Pele was the colossus who all the rest looked up to and revered.
A bit like how Messi was the king in a team with Xavi and Iniesta.
I personally think that is a far greater sign of his greatness than the argument many use about Maradona that he carried a poorer team.
