Fan village this Saturday

Got this email.

RANGERS 150th birthday month celebrations begin in earnest this Saturday, with a whole host of activity taking place around the club’s home match with Aberdeen.

A specially created fan village located in front of the Ibrox Rangers store, which will also feature at the upcoming Weekend of Legends and Old Firm fixtures, opens on Saturday at 12noon with a whole host of entertainment.

One of British music’s hottest talents and Rangers fan, Callum Beattie, will be performing live, while there will be Q&As on stage with club legend Michael Mols, Clive Tyldesley and women’s first-team players Nicola Docherty and Sam Kerr.

Football freestylers will add to the event, while you can test your own skills with ‘Beat the Goalie’. A variety of stalls with 150-branded merchandise and kit will also be present, as will an excellent choice of street food vendors.

In addition, supporters will be able to visit a very special museum exhibit as a prelude to the much-anticipated club museum which will open within New Edmiston House.

The fan village closes at 2:30pm, with all supporters urged to take their seat as early as possible for the pre-match show inside the stadium, as well as a celebratory tifo involving all four stands.

A special, commemorative programme for the day can be purchased around the stadium, and is also on sale HERE.

This special fixture will also be broadcast worldwide (excluding England) live on RangersTV. CLICK HERE to subscribe now to RangersTV or purchase a Pay Per View package.
That sounded absolutely pish

And what an odd location for it

“we encourage all fans to arrive into the stadium early to see the pre match show, tifo display and lot more”

And what about the rest of us watching from around the world? What time do we tune into RTV to see all of this?

Whatever time you want.

The area outside the shop? That’s shite, I assumed it would have been like the Nike Family Day in 1997 when we used the actual complex across from the stadium.

Sounds crap tbh, and puts the icing on what’s been a miserable week off the park.

Seems a strange location
Those heading up from the underground to the main stand and enc are going to be blocked off

It does seem odd. Plus the barriers will probably be in place at the away corner meaning you will have thousands trying to access the Govan Stand from the direction of Helen St/Broomloan Rd who have to walk all the way round the back of the Copland in the direction of the "village"

My brother is there with his kid. Says it is spot on for the children. Photo with big Marv and Michael Mols. I’d love a picture with those two.
Brilliant.

Big Marv is a gem. Was at a race night in the Thornton suite with Jukebox last week.
Big smiles and photos for everyone. Not a bother for the big man.

The club can't win regards these events as we have a mass of miserable greeting faced bastards amongst our support. I'd love to see how they would get on organising and executing such an event to please everyone.

Get behind our amazing iconic club on a day of such stature and forget about the £12 programmes, trip to Oz, unpainted stairs on the concourse or the pricey £2.50 pies!

£3.20 for steak pies in the main stand!
