He doesn't do the job he's officially employed to do competently. He clearly performs as he does (IE where one club always gets what it wants) out of self interest. He has a £400k a year cushy number to protect. All he needs to do is follow instructions and make sure those instructions become SPFL official policy. His puppet masters will do the rest. If he does that, everything is hunky dory. If not, he'll be gone. Recent history proves that if you rattle one particular cage in Scottish football, you'll be hounded out.

I think the term for the collective attitude of the Scottish media is one of wilful ignorance or blindness. It's impossible to believe that this group of spineless individuals masquerading as impartial journalists cannot see the facts and the bigger picture. Tom English and Ewen Murray definitely know the score.
Similar to the lack of outrage and coverage of the CFC enabled pedophile ring, they are choosing to ignore the story. Their industry doesn't deserve to survive.

Plenty of people on FF have been questioning Doncaster's competence and wondering why he hasn't been sacked. This attitude completely misses the point because he is far more dangerous than that.

Doncaster is not in place to run the SPFL as a normal football league system; he is in place solely to promote and protect the interests of one club, celtc, above all the other clubs in the system. If he was doing a bad job at this then he would have been replaced long ago by the person who is really running Scottish football: Peter "Pig Eyes" Lawwell.

The focus needs to be on his connections with the piggery, not with any supposed "incompetence".

It's a fair point. He's like Martin Bain. He's doing his master's bidding and in terms of those results, he's doing his job exactly as that person wants it.

Just like Bain though, if he was asked to truly run things as we would like it (i.e. completently for the benefit of everyone) he'd be humped.

Just for a moment- forget how devious, dubious & downright corrupt or incompetent he is - (difficult I know) but how can anyone - no matter how talented or efficient they should be - can actually be worthy of that salary at the SPFL - SFA - Mickey Mouse Appreciation Society ?

I worked with a guy who was a naval architect- who designed sea-going vessels for LNG carriers- he was personally responsible for the safety certificates affecting countless personnel- who had 20 years experience as a ship's captain- & he was on £250k - & I thought that was obscene- but this is beyond comparison

I suspect most people realise that but like you say, he’s not daft, nor sadly are the folk pulling his strings...and so securing evidence of their wrongdoing is not easy to secure...particularly in an environment where blatant mismanagement (at best!) has been exposed only to be endorsed by the weak self serving Chairmen that ‘control’ Scottish football...and accepted by MSM as though it was somehow acceptable. Only in the sad wee nationalist run country that Scotland has become would this be tolerated.
