Anyone know what’s happened to this?

The season has started and their last episode was in June.

Also, Stephen Purdon has just tweeted about a new podcast with him, Grado and Chris Toal.

It's finished now Toal said on Instagram last night they wanted to take it in a different direction so have brought out a new version of it. Interesting they're back with G4 and recording from their studios again.

Shame. I seen Producer John put out a statement saying there's no fall out. If I had to guess Grado, Purdon and Toal want to cash in and keep the money for themselves and don't want to share the income with John McInally or his producing company.
 
Enjoyed it when it first started with Ewan and grado, gave it a chance when Stephen and Toal came on board but then I found him to be an odious little toad. I don’t mind banter in the slightest but I couldn’t take to him at all.

Saw him saying it will continue. Think they got greedy with the Patreon they were charging minimum $7.50 to $11 for subscriptions and they barely got anybody signing up just to see the video version of the pod for example. Compare it to Heart and Hand $1.99 gets you 5/6 shows a day.

You could be right but it's interesting they have the backing of G4 claims who stopped sponsoring Football Daft and they'll be recording from their studios. Hopefully they manage to get the interviews going again.

I think it had gone past its shelf life, I went from patreon, to hardly listening. Patreon only content given away for free, no guests, so in reality you were paying £8 a month for 2 youtube videos and the feed on patreon was always the last to go up.

Will be interesting to see who hosts or produces it going forward

Yeah I wanted to sign up but when you looked into it there was no incentive to do so even more so at the prices they were charging. Think when the interviews stopped and they were still doing it over zoom kind of told they couldn't be bothered anymore they kept losing sponsors as well.

Think John will keep producing it but who he gets to host moving forward will be interesting but suspect it will just finish up if the new one takes off and is successful.

Tbf Zoom was probably easier especially with the lads day jobs. John at RC, Grado at Go, Bob at River City, and Toal mopping up jizz at the local porn cinema.

Their new pod is going to be back in the G4 podcast studio so must have the time to do it.

They knew this and that’s when they split it to separate podcasts for each side. Grado and Purdon doing Rangers Daft
 
Grado still doing Wrestling Daft with the same mob he’s ditched for Football Daft :))
 
I think the 3 of them have been pretty sneaky and snide about it all tbh,, the new one will be almost exactly the same, they were taking patreon subs and weren't giving much if anything for it, half the time they couldn't even be arsed to bother taking an hour or 2 of their time to turn up and do it.
Quite like big John, hopefully he can get decent presenters on it and start getting some more interviews etc.

Indeed and get it back on track, I used to enjoy going on just to wind up Toal but there seemed to be a general malaise for most of last season.
 
Really enjoyed the Rangers daft podcast Grado and Shellsuit Bob did every Tuesday so hopefully the keep doing that. Like most I didn’t listen to the main pod due to that horrible little bigoted mutant dwarf Toal. His historic tweets are disgusting and needs his baws booted tbh!

Their attendance wasn’t great. In the last year it was rare to have all 3 (plus John) for one reason or another. The excuses were getting rolled out on a weekly basis
 
I liked it when ewan was on it at first, but I found when guests were in the middle of telling some great stories, they'd always be interupted by him. Be interesting to see how it goes from now on.

To be fair Grado and Purdon have a lot of commitments with filming their shows they're in that's why they weren't on some weeks.
 
Can anyone shed light on how these companies make money? Surely even if someone sponsors it they ain’t paying more than £200 an episode?

They could've done it in the evenings. I think there were plenty of time when one of the them CBF and that just spreads through the rest of them.

The show was good, but the CBF nature for the last year was shocking especially when they were trying to get folk to sign up to Patreon. As someone said earlier £8 a month for 3 YouTube videos (one you wouldn't watch as it's the Coatbridge Verne Troyer) was a bit a bit cheeky.
