Absolutely fantastic. Comes in for bit of stick sometimes and does make the odd mistake but he has been great so far this season. Gif of his kiss to the camera anyone?

“Sometimes” lol
We win and keep clean sheets and this place is full of “he needs dropped”, “he’s undroppable” etc
Weird world that we live in at times.

Can’t fault him, he’s the first name on the sheet for CH and it maybe should be highlighted more that he goes through multiple CH partners regularly at the back and it doesn’t phase him.
Him and Helander are our best pairing but even if it’s Katic or Edmundson beside him, he just gets on with it.
Great performance today.

Just the tip...
Deserves enormous praise, overall performance was excellent and for a centre half to come up with 2 goals is fant. Still had his customary brian fart though and I still think it’s something he really has to eradicate from his game, it’s those which make a lot of previous criticisms justified.

People who criticise Goldson on a regular basis likely know little to nothing about football.

He’s a £3m centre half. He’ll make occasional mistakes.

On the whole, he’s been unbelievably good value.

If he was perfect, he would be moving for £50m+.

He is class.

Helander’s our best defender.

Goldson’s maybe an overall better player as he’s a bit faster and better with the ball at his feet, but as an out and out defender, nobody comes close to Helander.

This.

Helander is our best defender, Goldson is the leader of the defence. The two of them work very well together.

without question. Anyone who says otherwise likely knows little about football etc etc

When you consider that a certain Harry McGuire was sold by Leicester for think it was 75 or 85 big ones, for 3 big ones..Goldson is a genuine bargain imo.!!!

A lot of the people who criticise him always bring up the mistake when he gave the ball away for the opening goal in first old firm game last season. They never seemed to get over that but hopefully the two goals yesterday will silence his doubters.
