Drink of choice (definitely underage) before concerts in old Greens Playhouse before it was Apollo to see Led Zep, Sabbath Tull etc Sharing couple bottles in the wee alleys round there. Thing is never bevvied before the game then.
It’s very similar to Buckfast now

My Dad has been tee total for 25 years, never even bought an alcoholic drink for anyone in that time, but he spotted this in a shop and bought myself and my brother a bottle of this “that’s what I used to drink going to the football” was his line!

For me it was a bottle of Buchanan’s Old English Sherry before the Barrhead High School discoes. Bought from that wee window at the Bridge Inn and drunk with a couple of mates who I’m sure you know but I’ve long lost touch with.
Old Orange Hall in Johnstone used to have it on the optic back in the day.

Depends. Chilled and drunk on a hot summers day to accompany a nice fillet of barbecued sea bass, it was shite. Necked straight from the bottle to get you fighting drunk and impervious to pain there was nothing better b

Yes thats correct remember years ago going into a bar before playing Morton and most of the optics had wine. There were trays of glasses full of wine ready for the clientele the electric soup.
