The number of investigations there have been internally, allegedly, for stuff he has done is equally as hideous. Theft of training balls, bumping fellow pros for cash etc. The guy seems troubled...

He’s a bit of a problem for the phoneless ones.
Say they want rid of him and his wages.
They've spent so much time and effort trotting out the “mental” issues to cover his behaviour, that after telling everyone ad nauseum to leave the poor soul alone to get over it, they can hardly sack him now for misconduct.
It would put them on the side of his critics, the very critics they were telling to pipe down only months ago.
To bolster their case, they open an investigation, no doubt “independent” so they can claim “nothing to do with us”
On the the other had, it could be a kick for the long grass.
Theres deviousness afoot whatever.
