Heart and Hand Colin on Guardian Football Weekly.

Listened to it earlier. Colin was excellent, as he was a couple of weeks ago after the RBL match. I also enjoyed the comments from the woman panelist who referred to our 150 year history. That will have had the mutants raging who no doubt listened in the hope of reveling in our loss. Which is nice.

It’s a unique & confusing situation where Rangers fans singing songs about the club, and the subsequent lack of the old songbook that was heavy on religion and paramilitaries, triggers a lot of the haters to complain about things that are not happening and songs that are not sung.

That’ll be 33yrs this summer since Mo Johnston signed, and even if you are gullible enough to believe that there was a stringently enforced ban on anyone prior to that since 1872 then considering that we’ve since had Catholics represent, captain & manage the club without a peep of dissent from anyone, the claims of someone like Wraith in that thread are a nonsense. It’s entirely possible that Wraith was born after 1989 and Rangers have had Catholics playing for the club throughout their lifetime, yet they persist with a false narrative.

It’s been said so many times but the people most upset about Catholics playing for Rangers are Catholic supporters of Celtic.

Two of our players they hate most are Maurice Johnston and Neil McCann. Wonder why that is.
