In domestic games-opposing fans

Well I have a couple options, retaliate with slurs of my own and risk getting the club in trouble and fined. Potentially result in an emtpy stadium or expulsion for europe. Or just listen to what the club are asking from you and just get the fcuk on with it.

Which would you pick?
Reporting them to the police and getting evidence of the abuse and sharing it on social media as a start!

When opposing fans are singing anti-Protestant songs against us and screaming that we are Huns and Orange Bast*rds what will all those that are demanding fans stop singing X and Y do?

Will they get the nearest copper and demand they go into the opposing fans and arrest those responsible? Will they write to the club and demand they take action against the club responsible for the opposing fans?

Will they video the opposing fans and get evidence and then post it on social media?
Rise above it for the sake of Rangers?

Thats a good idea also. We must do it within our own support too. As they are not welcome anywhere near our gates if they can't put the club first

Let's see, I was the one that posted the thread and kept trying to engage fans in fighting back regarding the lost/dumped evidence in the effigies trial.
You also can easily check my username for evidence of myself and others of trying to engage support in fighting back against sectarianism aimed at us.

I also just after the announcement of the initiative wrote to Stewart Robertson asking what the club will do about opposing fans singing sectarian abuse at us.

My reply in post 37 st as nobody near where I've sat has sung anything id say was a sectarian song
It isn't about what you find sectarian. UEFA has deemed TBB to be a sectarian chant and has closed part of our ground. Their competition, their rules. There is no use looking to say "ahh, but what about them" when we need to get our own house in order first. The line in the sand has been drawn now.

I'm taking about in Domestic games.

Well who ever else then. Nil By Mouth, GCC, Police Scotland. My point is we need activism not moaning on a forum. We're very good at that while those insidious b*stards have been mobilising. When we have a thread on here about someone on social media calling us orange b*stards how many complaints have they lodged with various authorities about what rangers fans have said?

That again, is not what I've asked in this thread.

I really don't recognise myself as a paranoid person , but I find it very difficult to overlook that we get treated differently from other clubs.

However , we as a support don't help ourselves or the club sometimes.

Too many Rangers fans quite happy to sit and get sectarian abuse , whatever floats your boat . May as well raise the white flag , the rebels have won . Myself included , lets get off our arses and fight back or have we surrendered already .

That's what I'm saying and what I've said on many threads. There are many posters on here happy to moan but who will sit on their arses and do sod all to highlight the sectarian anti-protestant abuse aimed at us or the anti-British racist abuse sung when we play the tramps.

Highlight EVERY abuse against us in domestic matches.

You're doing your usual and deflecting from the real issue. The issue that could see us booted out of European football.
I'm actually asking on this thread about DOMESTIC matches and what our fans will do about sectarian abuse being aimed at them inside Ibrox.

Kenny Miller was clearly caked a orange bastard last night on the tv. This either applies to all clubs or none. Partick thistle also giving it f the pope and f the queen.

We're never getting booted out of European football. There would be far too many consequences with/for other teams if that happened.

Well you made a flippant comment about everything being all right in the world if people didn’t sing x or y. Everything won’t be alright in the world, but the club would be in a batter position than it’s in now. Is that not good enough?

Batter .....? Sounds a bit fishy to me

I know it wont be alright.. the point I was making is that people are very deluded if they think that if they don't sing X or Y then they will go away and stop watching us.

This whole thing is about more than what we sing its about who we are as a club and who they believe we represent.

This is the whole point, there are so many are happy to sit and do nothing when opposing fans at Ibrox are sitting singing anti-Protestant abuse at them.
That's because we believe in freedom of speech and why our cenotaphs are full of the names of those who died protecting it. In a socialist country like this one is now, there is no fight for the freedoms that were fought for in the past. Shame on us all and we should not blame Rangers fans for expressing their right to sing what they want, in their own country and in their own stadium, songs that have been sung for over half a century without comment.

We all have to take our part in highlighting every bit of abuse aimed at us because that is exactly what our enemies have done. We are in a dirty war and we need to get up and collectively fight.

That's exactly what we need to do as the saying goes "the best form of defense is attack" its something we haven't & dont do we need to box clever fight fire with fire as others have said it's easy coming on the likes of FF complaining we as a supporter need to get proactive

I agree, but are we only noticing it now? It has been going on for years and we sit back and do nothing. Our whole culture and beliefs are under threat and something has to be done.

So you won't do as I've suggested and maybe start reporting them to the police and sharing evidence of their racism and sectarianism aimed at us and asking questions regarding the double standards.
Yes I just meant not firing abuse back that could get the club in trouble

I'm not suggesting fans start firing abuse back but instead go to the police and report them and highlight the sectarian abuse on social media and use their phones to video examples of sectarian abuse aimed at us

They sing they're shite and so what, it annoys us.

We sing similar shite and it actively harms our club.

Get your FBs, your FTPs, your IRA, your Sands and every other bit of shite that tarnishes our club and get it so far to fućk away from us.

I literally just saw on another thread someone saying Mr Struth would be turning in his grave at the loss of heritage. Would he? Would he really be raging that he can't say %^*& the pope or call someone a 19th Century Terrorist bastard?

Rangers was founded to be the paragon of sporting excellence. Not as a quasi-religious vehicle, so like I said, take all the other shite as far to fućk away from Ibrox as possible, and keep it there. If you don't, you're a selfish bastard who is intent on causing more harm to our club than our enemies ever could.

This is what so many seem to be wilfully ignoring. It's not our personal interpretations, it's that of UEFA, and if we want to play in their competitions, we have to abide by their rules.

Mentality like this makes my mind boggle.

Who you singing it to? The 800 mutes in the corner?

Back the team.
Too many concerned with getting it right up celtic or the Catholic Church or the IRA.

What's more important? Getting it up them, or supporting our team?

Not a difficult choice for me.

I'll be supporting my team on the park and pushing them on to get that ball into the opposition net to get it right roon them.

They just don't get it.

The bottom line is people who "don't give a fuck" care about themselves more than Rangers.

Next sunday.

Celtic are paedophiles. Non fùcking stop.
And undo the great work done by the likes of @Tommy @Grigo Yossarian and @BlueNose94 who have been working constantly to distance exposing what happened at Celtic Park from the easy media cop-out of 'its just bitter rangers fans point scoring'?..

How does that inspire the team to victory? In fact how does any of it? Do we think Jermain Defoe is inspired a wee bit more because of ftp? That's devout Catholic Jermain Defoe I'm talking about here.

We've been told by the club for close to 20 years to stop singing about 19th Century Terrorists, the ira and the pope. Bobby sands died the year I was born. I'm thirty fucking nine in 5 months. If it wasn't for supporting rangers I'd have no idea who he was. Instead I hear about him every week. How is it relevant to supporting us?

I'm not the sort that believes loyalist songs don't belong at Ibrox. I believe in the culture a large part of the support has an affinity to, but it's time to wise up and ditch certain songs and add ons. Reintroduce a few old classics, Rangers and Loyalist, that do nothing but celebrate who and what we are that do not have problematic lyrics. Some fantastic songs in general the full support doesn't know the full words to that don't get sung. Find a happy medium.

Peado stuff should be banished as well.

Im going to say the same to you, this threads whole purpose was asking people to collectively work to report the racist anti British & sectarian abuse aimed at us.

What will fans do at Ibrox when they hear this abuse being sung to them?

Let's see, I was the one that posted the thread and kept trying to engage fans in fighting back regarding the lost/dumped evidence in the effigies trial.

So in effect you have mainly posted on here?

Thing is, what you preceive as not being racist/sectarian or whatever may well be in the eyes of the law. So if everyone is filming and putting opposition fans IF one of our own makes a slur are you filming them too?

They? Your fellow fans aren't they, who on earth are you!

You don't get it! This thread is about DOMESTIC games

Aren't the majority of teams in the SPFL actually against strict liability though?
Pretty sure the SPFL were even commenting on this early this year saying that they don't think it would work in Scotland.

So what's the end goal of doing all this in DOMESTIC games? We can't get clubs fined. There won't be points deductions or stand/stadium closures.

Basically the only thing we could hope for is to get individual supporters of other clubs arrested and/or banned. Best case is that we raise awareness and get some media attention on others.

Well I wasn't replying to you for a start.
"They" are the fans that have been warned numerous times about singing these songs and have the team I love all over the front of today's papers.
"They" are the one's that have now opened the doors for the SPFL or SFA to start looking at how we behave domestically.
So to answer your polite post, I am a Rangers fan that cares about the success of my team.
