In European terms, what Gerrard has achieved in 15 months is remarkable.

23 games, he's lost twice.

Put it in context, we won just twice in our previous 27 European games under three different managers.

Fúck every single moronic pundit who spews shite about "nae trophies". If they cannot see the difference Gerrard has made and continues to make to our club then they are simply not worth the hassle.

Give him the time. He'll get us where we want to be.

We have really exploded in Europe. We have been restored to a position of considerable respectability and we are very much on an upward trajectory. We can still go much further with Gerrard at the helm and we will do, assuming he stays longer-term.

Not just having to negotiate every round but then competing admirably. A lot of pride restored.

It's beyond remarkable.

The guy has put us back on the European map.

No one wanted us in that draw.

It's his biggest strength and also his weakness.

Sets us up perfectly for European football and his record is unreal considering the mess he inherited.

Doesn't always work domestically however where he can he too cautious IMO.

He would perfect for a Seria A club IMO, he just seems suited to that level of football if that makes sense. He tactically is very good though.

The games we did lose were marginal as well. Spartak away was combination of bad defending and a stupendous Morelos goal ruled out for wrongly for offside which would have put us 4-2 up going in at half time. Rapid was at the death with us all out chasing the win we needed to go through.

The start to the season has been absolutely incredible.

15 competitive matches.

12 wins
2 draws
1 defeat

36 goals for
8 goals against
9 clean sheets

Unbeaten in 9 European matches.

With that in mind, it really puts into perspective how fücking moronic comments like the ones below are (in match thread re: Katic):

"If he is dropped I am losing patience with our manager"

If 10 in a row turns out to be Gerrard's nemesis it'll be sad because he has been brilliant from day one with very few mistakes. He's up against a very good team with far more resources but has narrowed the gap to almost nothing already. In the first half tonight we were all lamenting not starting like that v the Tim's, if we had there would only have been one winner.

The guys learning his trade and making a right dam good go of it.

Patience is key, like u all I don't have much, but give SG time and he will deliver domestically.

Playing about absolute shite that sits in and has every man behind the ball week in and out isn't ideal but 55 is coming or maybe the Europa league ;-)
