Injury Time.

Opposition timewasting - play on

McGregor timewasting - yellow card and 2 mins added to injury time

Rangers winning = 5 minutes plus...

Rangers not winning = 1 minute...

C*ltic winning = 1 minute...

C*ltic not winning = 7 minutes plus...

Simple for the officials!
As much as we "joke" about this, that is basically exactly how this works.

And not only do they announce bizarrely huge numbers of injury time if Celtic need a goal, they consistently play well beyond what was announced if Celtic still haven't scored in the first 97 minutes of the match.

Aberdeen player tying his laces took 2 minutes with the goalie standing watching him, guy finally does it then the goalie walks slowly to the opposite side to take the goal kick, wasting even more time.

1 minute added.

It’s frustrating as their time wasting ultimately gave them more time to get an equaliser at the end.

5 minutes today, 3 last week. That's without mentioning the 7 or 8 minutes we get when the tims are chasing a goal.
Does it need to be taken out of the refs control?
There is no plausible explanation as to what they come up with?

It’s beyond a joke isn’t it? I mean how arbitrary is the stoppage time with us?

There was more time wasting in the first half than the second so the 4 of the 5 minutes added had to come from the substitutions and there's no way that's 4 minutes

The officials are cheating pricks they are not oblivious to time wasting they see it and invariably there time wasting gets the team that are doing it more time at the end how can that be fair . How fucking hard is it to tell time wasting tadgers like gallacher or lewis that he will add on plenty of time at the end beaton and the rest of his bum chums can get so far to %^*& .

I don't think timing should be anywhere near the refs as they are incapable or working it out. Or just don't want to. It shouldn't be a choice - for every minute the ball is not in play the time gets added on. If that adds 20 mins onto the game then tough fucking shit.

Beaton today allowed a guy to tie his laces for a couple of minutes. So, added to all the other stoppages this equated to 1 min. The 5 mins added on in the 2nd half might have worked if you consider the subs.

There should be an official timer. That said, officials need to be held accountable for their decisions. They should have to explain their decisions to the managers and the players as well as the media afterwards if questioned.
