They play El Salvador on 27th so would imagine it'll be over the weekend at the latest.Agree. Does anyone know when the USMNT are naming their squad? be interesting to see if him or sands get a call.

I would never shake their handIf all those players mentioned were away, I reckon both clubs would shake hands on the OF being called off and the league would probably allow it, given it’s their showpiece.
The other games could/would still be played.
He wouldn't be allowed to play if he has called off due to injury.Kygothediver (injured but otherwise likely to be called up) but will make a miraculous recovery when not named
Why weren't the games rearranged in order anyway? It was really clever from the spfl to rearrange the game during this sham of an international break
That's not strictly accurate. A player has to get permission to withdraw from an international squad. He wouldn't be the first to miss international games but feature in domestic at the same time.He wouldn't be allowed to play if he has called off due to injury.
Maeda has been called up for Japan apparently.
Kygothediver (injured but otherwise likely to be called up) but will make a miraculous recovery when not named
Probably suited Sky to have it then with no EPL matches. Why weren't the games rearranged in order anyway?
Fair point!Probably suited Sky to have it then with no EPL matches.
Because they fitted into free available dates one of which as created by moving the break forwardWhy weren't the games rearranged in order anyway?
TBF I did not know thatIt'll be a more miraculous recovery than Lazarus then because he hasn't trained for over a month and was down south seeing a specialist earlier this week.
Apparently they got told yesterday before tbe announcement.Thought their squad was announced tomorrow?
Where you seeing/hearing this? Nothing on twitter about it which you would expect if it was common knowledge.Apparently they got told yesterday before tbe announcement.
Most clubs and players will be informed of call ups prior to the public announcement.Apparently they got told yesterday before tbe announcement.
Thought this would be common knowledge, did nobody wonder why Emmanuel Dennis is playing for Watford rather than AFCON?Most clubs and players will be informed of call ups prior to the public announcement.
He is the obvious recent exception to the normal procedures.Thought this would be common knowledge, did nobody wonder why Emmanuel Dennis is playing for Watford rather than AFCON?
Hopefully Colombia forgot to inform Rangers about AlfieHe is the obvious recent exception to the normal procedures.
I'm sure selective journalists have contacted the Colombian FA to make sure due process was followed.Hopefully Colombia forgot to inform Rangers about Alfie
I think we can cope with our losses better than they can without their yank, rogic and the cheat. 3 of their better players this season
Saturday for USA squad.
That would be good for us, One out and one injuredI'm sure I read the Japan and Australia squads were due to be announced this Sunday.
FWIW I don't think we will see either of Sands or Roofe called up, so we might 'only' be missing Aribo and Morelos. I think the Yanks will be amenable to letting Sands 'settle' in his new environment and Roofe will be omitted to his lengthy period out with injury.
For the Dhims I don't think any of their Japanese will be called up - Furuhashi, allegedly is injured anyway and the rest aren't regulars. Outside chance Maeda could replace Furuhashi but I don't think so. Carter-Vickers is far from a regular for the USA also. They will likely be missing just Rogic due to call-ups and a few more due to injury (bound to be more hamstrings go in the next few weeks) such as Furuhashi and Turnbull.
Yip, they'll seek a postponement if they feel they are at a disadvantage onlyI don't think they'll cancel. Our absences are far more significant - Aribo, Alfie + Roofe, along with a number only now coming back from injury. They'll think they have a great chance.
Don't see the word mate in there so obviously not verbatim.
I suspect they will be missing a maximum of two to international call-ups - Rogic and, an outside chance, Maeda if he replaces Furuhashi - so won't be entitled to seek a postponement. I don't think Carter-Vickers will get called up. Then they have Furuhashi and Turnbull missing through injury (allegedly).Yip, they'll seek a postponement if they feel they are at a disadvantage only
We could, possibly, only be missing Morelos if Nigeria go out in the next 2 rounds. Its unlikely but you never know.I suspect they will be missing a maximum of two to international call-ups - Rogic and, an outside chance, Maeda if he replaces Furuhashi - so won't be entitled to seek a postponement. I don't think Carter-Vickers will get called up. Then they have Furuhashi and Turnbull missing through injury (allegedly).
I also don't think Sands or Roofe will be called up so, potentially, we may 'only' be missing Aribo and Morelos. Not great, but not enough for us to seek a postponement either.
You cant play in a domestic game during international break if called off with injury. If there is a suggestion it might happen Japan can block it and will.Kygothediver (injured but otherwise likely to be called up) but will make a miraculous recovery when not named
Exactly as I see it. Sands getting called up wouldn't, as things stand, be the end of the World for us but I'd be far more comfortable if we had a fit, up-to-speed Roofe available to add to the options up top.You cant play in a domestic game during international break if called off with injury. Roofe is the one i am waiting on. If we have him available i am less concerned about our striking otions, different players from Alfie, but when fully fit just as effective. Jamaica might not bother calling him up as he just back from injury and they cannot qualify.
Jamaica have 2 other forwards expected to miss out.Exactly as I see it. Sands getting called up wouldn't, as things stand, be the end of the World for us but I'd be far more comfortable if we had a fit, up-to-speed Roofe available to add to the options up top.
I too think Jamaica will leave him out due to his lengthy time out through injury. Antonio, of West Ham, will lead the line for them. They lost a friendly 3-0 to Peru last night so I suspect we will get their squad announcement in the next 24 hours as they are due to assemble on Monday. I'm sure Rangers will already have had contact from Jamaica if he was to be called up and, if he was, I'm not sure we'd have had him in the squad for tonight if he was then going to 'disappear'.
I prefer a bit of optimism mate.Jamaica have 2 other forwards expected to miss out.
Shamar Nicholson who has not played for over a month after transferring to Spartak who are still on their winter break.
And Leon Bailey at Villa who is injured.
I would fully expect Roofe to be called up and play.
That's not a surprise to me - but good to know mate. Thank you.Sands not included in the US squad.
Not sure how good my info is but it looks as if he’s been called up.That's not a surprise to me - but good to know mate. Thank you.
What about Carter-Vickers from the Dhims? I'd expect him to be left out as well.
That's good and its bad. They will miss him but his call up might give them enough to seek a postponement. Not sure how good my info is but it looks as if he’s been called up.
No Sands call up for us and no Vickers call up for them. That's good and its bad. They will miss him but his call up might give them enough to seek a postponement.
Yeah, confirmation here.Would be silly of us to
No Sands call up for us and no Vickers call up for them.
Full roster I was checking, sorry.Would be silly of us to
No Sands call up for us and no Vickers call up for them.
Their squad is due to assemble on Monday so it must be imminent. You'd imagine Rangers/the player will know already.Anyone know when the Jamaica squad is announced?
I don't see why we would have given him game time tonight if he was about to go away and miss our next 4 games.Their squad is due to assemble on Monday so it must be imminent. You'd imagine Rangers/the player will know already.
Exactly what I said in post #134 mate. Great minds and all that. Nothing in it for Rangers at all playing him tonight if he was flying out tomorrow or Sunday.I don't see why we would have given him game time tonight if he was about to go away and miss our next 4 games.
Hoping thats a sign thenExactly what I said in post #134 mate. Great minds and all that. Nothing in it for Rangers at all playing him tonight if he was flying out tomorrow or Sunday.
Why do you think mate? Why weren't the games rearranged in order anyway?
