Team Beale?Papers had Thomson as a shoe in yesterday.
He must have something better lined up then
The papers also had Courts as Rijeka managerPapers had Thomson as a shoe in yesterday.

Maybe hes now going to Dundee Utd?Papers had Thomson as a shoe in yesterday.

Jack Ross linked with Utd.Maybe hes now going to Dundee Utd?
I'm sure he was ( before this appointment) the longest serving Manager in Scotland with Peterhead ?Is Jim McIntyre still a thing?
Your thinking of Jim McInallyI'm sure he was ( before this appointment) the longest serving Manager in Scotland with Peterhead ?
He had a decent record until he took the Dundee job I'm sureIs Jim McIntyre still a thing?
His record was reasonable, yes but I reckon that’s a strange appointment for Cove. He was given the bullet in 2019, and I’m guessing he either hasn’t done much since then or he’s been doing some coaching on the quiet. He had a decent record until he took the Dundee job I'm sure
Won the League Cup at Ross County a while ago
Probably the fact he won a cup with a side in the Highlands has went in his favour as wellHis record was reasonable, yes but I reckon that’s a strange appointment for Cove. He was given the bullet in 2019, and I’m guessing he either hasn’t done much since then or he’s been doing some coaching on the quiet.
To be fair to him, he has won silverware in Scotland as a manager so that makes him some kind of a success as a manager!
Has actually been doing PT since he left Dundee, thought they would’ve been a bit more ambitious in their management search. His record was reasonable, yes but I reckon that’s a strange appointment for Cove. Hartlepool.Excuse my ignorance but where did that Hartley go ?
So I am ... cheersYour thinking of Jim McInally
uninspiring appointment for a progressive club
I know, very unRangers like of themCove Rangers seem to like RC Tim managers.
6 years ago, if he is so good why hasn't he had a managerial job for 3 years? The guy managed Ross County to a national trophy. Imo his track record as a manager is way better than that of Paul Hartley.

Point I was making was that his track record as a manager was superior to that of Paul Hartley.
It’s just another appointment in the Scottish football manager meri go round. Jim McIntyre’s had his chance at Dunfermline and other clubs. The lack of ambition in Scottish football is laughable. Hats off to Dundee Utd when they gave Tam Courts a shout, now he’s took the ballsy step to move away from the comfort zone
Not to sure that you can throw lack of ambition at Cove’s Door mate. It’s just another appointment in the Scottish football manager meri go round. Genuine question as I don't follow KT's managerial career closely. Is he that level?Team Beale?
In fairness, you could argue he took the chances he had at Dunfermline and other clubs. He got Dunfermline promoted and won a major trophy with Ross County, both times playing decent football in the process. His move to Dundee was a crazy decision from both parties.
Given the yearly turnover of players at 99% of Scottish Clubs, the variance in their abilities as a team/squad season to season is impossible to rank with any credibility. As such its entirely possible for a Manager, say Jim McIntyre, to be in the right place at the right time and have a small success (e.g. a League Cup win or Promotion from one Diddy League to another). Its been done at some point by every Fake Coach in Scotland who keep on getting jobs, say Jim McIntyre, despite not actually being able to deliver anything tangible or sustainable to indicate real ability. The guy managed Ross County to a national trophy. Imo his track record as a manager is way better than that of Paul Hartley.
I believe so, said before SG left that I can see KT being the Rangers manager one dayGenuine question as I don't follow KT's managerial career closely. Is he that level?

Scottish Clubs are run, generally speaking, by lazy and incompetent people so someone like Jim McIntryre can always turn up in a borrowed suit, mention doing something years ago, skim over all the other failures by saying he had to cut wages/trim squad/had massive injuries etc and hes got another job. It saves the hiring club having to actually do any work sourcing a quality Coach and to the hacks they can simply mention and skim as the Fake Coach did in the interview and its a sensible appointment.
Sacked 3/4 times which says it all and the one time he didnt get the bullet was when he was smart enough to move before he was exposed. At QOTS he was barely in the door before leaving for another job and therein lies the key in Scotland. Just keep moving around and hope nobody realises youre useless.
Seems to work for most people.
Comparing wining the Scottish League Cup with RC against Gerrard not doing it with Ranges is preposterous.Jim McIntyre took over Dunfermline when they were sitting second bottom of the Championship. He developed the team and got them promoted to the Premier League. They spent no money and predictably struggled. They’re now in League 1. He then won a League Cup with Ross County, something Steven Gerrard didn’t manage with us in 3 attempts.
Despite that, Cove Rangers have to say “sorry you’ve nothing tangible and have been sacked from 2 jobs so we’re gonna go with someone like Kevin Thomson who has never managed this league in his life but is surely cool and progressive because he used to play for Rangers.”?
The top 4 teams in the Championship last season were managed by Derek McInnes, Dick Campbell, Billy Dodds and Ian McCall. Maybe sometimes a bit of experience isn’t such a terrible thing in certain leagues. Ask Hibs and Aberdeen fans.

Gerrard had higher goals such as rebuilding the entire club on and off the pitch , which he did, and then some, against all the odds.
For a little context, RCs amazing League Cup win consisted of seeing off the mighty Ayr United, Falkirk and Inverness before beating Hubs managed by the master tactician Alan Stubbs. They did indeed beat Celtic in amongst that but keep in mind the numerous breaks they got in that game and even then were somewhat fortune.
Well see how he does here and I'm not knocking the guy , he's just evidence of the stupidity of Scottish Football and its unlikely someone who's not really done anything of note and has been sacked repeatedly would continue to find employment in a League outside of Scotland.
All that before you consider he's been out of Football for years.
