Been told that wee Johnny passed away this morning at 2am.
He’s back with his friend Billy Simpson.

The wee legend was a regular attender at our dinners in Aberdeen till ill health took over.
He held court with his amazing stories and sat up to the wee hours regaling young bears of stories about Struth and co

You’ll be missed Johnny, fly high

A gentleman of the old school.

A proud Rangers who was always a credit to the club on and off the field.

Very sad. I still remember the game against Queens Park when we won 6 - 4. Also played against him when he played cricket for Prestwick.
A true gentleman and a lovely genuine person.

RIP my friend.

A genuinely nice guy who'd come round the tables in corporate and tell some stories - and have everyone hanging on his every word.

Saw him about Ayr a few times where all the locals treated him like a legend. He did a lot for the kids football down there.
