Funny thing about Dalgleish although his club career was brilliant for Scotland in so many games, World Cup etc he was so disappointing in so many games. It was only latterly he started to play better.

That was my recollection, anyone agree?

Maybe coinciding with Souness growing into the outstanding player he became?
Masson, Rioch and Gemmell etc. were good players, no doubt about it but, Souness was a level above those, bordering on world class.

Pal of mine is member at same golf club as KD and often has 4 ball with him on a Wednesday. Says they have a cup of tea after and there is good banter.
Recall season 71/72 when their midden was getting a new stand we played them twice in League cup (0-2, 0-3) and once in league (2-3) all at Ibrox. Sure he scored at least 4 of their goals - the one that got away.

We were playing St Johnstone at The Piggery on the day of Hillsborough , so why would he have been at Ibrox ?
