No.
Bigger games maybe. But most games it was at 25-30% capacity, so there was a lot of empty spaces particularly what was then known as the C****c end. And the facilities were crude. A cold hot dog would have been a luxury.
 
Tired topic now really, plenty of new builds around Europe have a great atmosphere - should be looking at how to create that rather than going on about the past.
I think a lot of these articles pine for the era of the game, as opposed to the actual arenas, and that message gets lost in them.
