Lulu on This is Your Life 1973: Orange Band March on at End

Went to school with the wee brother Gordon, never bragged about his sister, in fact that’s the first time I’ve seen that episode of TIYL , he never mentioned he was on it. He went to Bannerman with mostly working class kids, never went down the private school route and believe me , Bannerman in the late 70,s was not for the faint hearted. Met Lulu briefly when I worked in the Marquee club in London many moons ago, mentioned Gordon and she was delighted, chatted away, don’t mind her at all.
Was her sister not at Bannerman too, seems to ring a bell? I left there in 1976

Loving the stories of Lulus east end days and also same with Angus & Malcom Young, all bluenoses who achieved great success,, not afraid to show their colours.

She didn't need to discover it, she knew fine well but one of those who was happy to forget her roots.

I know her cousin really well. A lot of the family have no time for her.

Went to London and the rest is history.
Most people that have made it well in Showbiz are happy to see the back of where they came from.

It's nothing new.
