Just a little ditty of interest for option really. A work colleague of mine recently moved in to a house in Northumberland and in the article found an old soup taurine with Glasgow hall marks on it, all be it silver plate. It appears to be a trophy for cycling but has Glasgow Rangers crest on it and dated 1894, u await photos coming from him but strikes me it could be an unusual link to us just 22 years after we were formed?

Cycling could have been part of it ?

This is the probable answer, my father in law ran in a few meetings at Ibrox both in the Rangers athletics day and the Police spirts day.
He said there were bike races round the then oval track.
