His brother wasn't too bad either

Zidane does not sit behind any of those names mentioned. He's one of the best players to come out of Europe.
If Cruyff, Beckenbauer and Cristiano Ronaldo are the top bracket, Michael Laudrup sits comfortably in the next bracket with the likes of Zidane and Platini.
Criminally underrated.
Not sure Zidane doesn’t make it into that top bracket tbh! He's one of the best players to come out of Europe.

I remember these rumours too. Would of been an unreal watchAnybody have any of the press clippings when we were linked with uniting him with Brian, remember a few reports as a teenager.
Zidane is above all you have mentioned imo. He's one of the best players to come out of Europe.

Yeah you have to feel for Tav sometimesIt's crazy to think that the player I rate as the best I've ever seen play in Scottish football wasn't even the best in his family.
Correct.Zidane is above all you have mentioned imo.
I'll check through some Rangers News tomorrow I'm thinking it can only be season 97/98, when he joined Ajax.Anybody have any of the press clippings when we were linked with uniting him with Brian, remember a few reports as a teenager.
I thought that both the Laudrups had played for Rangers. The De Boer Brothers both played for Rangers, Frank and Ronald. Would be great to have them two sets of Brothers together.
Just need Rio and Anton Ferdinand, in the centre of defence, and Gary and Phil Neville at Fullbacks.
What team does you're mate support?,
Last year I was in Hua Hin Thailand with friends, a mate said one morning ‘fancy going to the beach?’ Being hung over I declined. He came back and told me, he had gone in for a swim, banged his toe on a rock, and limped back to the beach. As he limped out he said to this guy “be careful, there’s sharp rocks there”. Hearing his accent the guy asked “are you a Rangers supporter?, my mate said no, why? He said my brother played for Rangers, it was Michael Laundrup. The worst hangover ever when he told me that.

Zidane was not even in the same room as Cruiff. Nowhere near. Not sure Zidane doesn’t make it into that top bracket tbh!
Nor Platini.Zidane does not sit behind any of those names mentioned.
Michael Laudrup and Denis Bergkamp were very similar types and were two of the purest footballers of their time. Wonderful to watch and unfortunately modern football doesnt seem to allow such talent to flourish the same way.
Zidane was not even in the same room as Cruiff. Nowhere near.
Not in my opinion. Cruijff had a fantastic football brain, that is why he was a great manager as well. If Cruiff went to Argintine the Dutch would have walked that tournament.Nowhere near?
Michael was the better player but Brian was most definitely in the same league, that's not even up for debate.Ha ha, very true. Not in the same league as Michael though, tbh (and that's no slight on oor Brian)
Neither does Michael LaudrupZidane does not sit behind any of those names mentioned.

Yes
He really was
Brian Laudrup was a world talent end of. As evidenced by my own eyes.He really, really wasn't, as evidenced by their respective careers
Brian Laudrup is a hero of mine, I grew up during 9 in a row. He was amazing and is a legend here and undoubtedly a world class player. That does not put him in the same league as his brother.Brian Laudrup was a world talent end of. As evidenced by my own eyes.
As opposed to Zidane, shite manager. Only the 4 European Cups....Not in my opinion. Cruijff had a fantastic football brain, that is why he was a great manager as well. If Cruiff went to Argintine the Dutch would have walked that tournament.
