A bit late now though isn't it. An absolute disgrace that they won the right to host it. Then again backhanders swayed the decision.

Good news

Hope he’s charged and found guilty and jailed

Losing his assets would be great too

The whole Qatar WC award was corrupt and there will be a lot more involved and hope they are all arrested and jailed

It's a pity. The whole of football is fucked just to take the world cup there. Have they sorted out yet what is happening with European seasons?
There is going to be a 4 week break end of November.

I am pretty sure I read the world cup final will be held on 22nd or 23rd December. Ludicrous

It's too late now to go back on it, the Qatari billionaires would tie the whole thing up in legal battles for years given the money that's been spent building their stadia

The big nations should have pulled out as soon as it was announced to knock it on the head early

A winter World Cup will be horrendous

When blatter & co were getn done at that time platini was also getn implicated in some dastardly goins on.

He somehow survived and is showing now why he should have been binned then.

This would be the same garlic eater happy to be seen beside Liewell?

The vultures aren't circling around the scumhut because the vultures know there's not going to be any bodies.

The natsis, plod and the legal profession will see to that.

Possibly, possibly chain of evidence could go missing.

But that couldn't happen in modern day Scotland, could it?

Seemingly he told liewell that their best chance of getting into the EPL would be to drop the old firm and go it alone.Thats when they started their , we don't need any other club mantra.

Hit the nail on the head there mate. Can you imagine a World Cup without Germany France Italy Spain England Brazil Argentina etc etc etc.
The only sponsors they'd get would be Poundland and Patel's Multi-Mart.

Still sickens me whenever they show the footage of when they announced who had won the bid. The Qatari party didn't even pretend to look surprised, they knew it was theirs all along.

I fail to see how Qatar could sue fifa if there has been back handers, yes judge we bribed fifa and got the World Cup through illegal activity but geez all the money we spent back please.

Surely the Qatar authorities are not blameless in all this? If it is found they gave a few back handers, or whatever to favour them, then the WC could/should be moved.
Lots of countries with decent stadia could take over.

Maybe fifa accepting the bribes is the stumbling block?
Yes, you’d have to imagine that if those signing the documents were receiving bribes/consultancy fees/arrangement fees, then there would be at least grounds for litigation, however spurious. It would cause monumental havoc, which could take years to resolve and would likely lead to there being no WC 2022, which in itself would not reduce claims from Qatar of lost marketing costs. The whole thing is truly a disgrace, on every level.

Back handers, bribes, corruption has been the FIFA way for years and continues even today. If the USA hadn't been "stiffed" for hosting the finals Blatter and Platini would still be running the show.

That little weasel Sarkozy was involved.Fifa is corrupt to its core.Awarding to that football powerhouse Qatar obviously had nothing to do with money did it.....
