I'd rather they just defended the box tbh.Should have had someone stand on the line infront of the guy taking the throw in
Reminded me of the boy at stoke who took the huge throw ins
They used to give the ball boys towels so he could dry the ball before launching a rocket into the box every time, must of been an eye opener for foreign playersReminded me of the boy at stoke who took the huge throw ins
Yes, but in the main, we defended them well. Their two goals came from complacent sloppy play, not their supposed set-piece strength. Was it just me or did anyone else think, their throw ins looked really horrible to defend against?
Was a more potent weapon than their corners imo.
I thought The trajectory of the ball made it very difficult to defend.

We should be working as hard as them and copying their approach to set pieces (I'm guessing we do) as there comes a time in every season where we'll be the underdog and needing to scrap for goals.
Absolutely. Get the LED boards within half a yard of the touchline too.Can we bring in the advertising boards on the main stand side to combat it in the 2nd leg?

Just checked it out, have to be 2 yards from the touchlineI think there is a rule against that now.
I agree that they looked murder to defend, but I think we done no too bad, was a good test for us.
He had a really successful few games then he was sussed and teams learne how to defend them propert, he rarely got a game after that.Reminded me of the boy at stoke who took the huge throw ins

Would that be feasible ?Absolutely. Get the LED boards within half a yard of the touchline too.
Stoke very rarely scored from those throw ins. Opposition defences just got it in their heads that they were really dangerous and started to panic all the time.
