I mentioned this the other night, when I attended the match vs Clydebank, and assumed the lights had been installed a while ago, but were only suitable for training.

The installation of floodlights at Newlandsfield was fiercely discussed for years and very much resisted in the time I watched the Lok. The reasons for this were often complex and personal, but I was always for the addition. Still a pint or 3 at half time meant we discussed it way less in the second half ! Oh the simplicities and positives of Junior football back in the day!
