Nnamdi Ofoborh back playing football

Just signed for Swindon it seems. All the best to him.

We probably didn't want to fork out the insurance. Or didn't want to deal with kick back if he had an event during a game.
100%.

Can you imagine the furore up here about big bad Rangers playing a guy with a known heart condition who has a cardiac arrest during a game? We’d be slaughtered by all and sundry.

I thought he had major heart issues and that's why we never even seen him doing keepie-ups in the 2 year he was here?

He come on as a sub in their game today

Our medical team are rank, if he had this issue then shouldn't have passed the medical or he didn't have an issue?
What absolute mince. Italy has the stringest medical regarding heart testing, yet Christian Eriksen managed to pass medicals to sign for Ajax, Spurs and Inter before his heart attack.
It is possible to have an undisclosed condition which medicals miss. Oboforh only had a problem during pre season training, and our medical team took the ultra cautious approach to his fitness. As previous poster said, can you imagine the hysteria if we let him play and he had an incident.
Good luck to the boy

It would have been a decision outwith the football dept. Seems a bit strange seeing his apparent recovery and first team football again.

Good luck to the lad.

Bournemouth shoulda paid his wages for all the time he was with us. Came to us with this known heart problem. Never could understand how the transfer was completed.
Other than the absolute crassness of this post - he signed for us on a free. The issue was discovered AFTER he signed for us.

He had three medicals the season before he joined us and not one flagged the issue, he had one in pre season at Bournemouth, Wycombe before joining them and one for signing with us.

We tested him again come the summer and the issue came up, our medical department saved him.

I'm still not over Universidad Catolica not paying Seb Rozentals wages the entire time he was at us, never mind this cheek. The audacity.
