Older fans season ticket renewal

Just posting this as a reminder that there are older people who have difficulty with technology.
Renewal might seem easy for the majority of fans but I think we should take a minute check that the older supporters can cope.
The password change caused an elderly friend of mine some grief as he failed to understand that the ticketing system was changing.

Thats a very kind thought, reluctantly i have to admit that i am now in that territory.
I dont know about the changes you mention but i am in the auto renewal which means i dont need to do anything except hand over the money when its due.
That might be an option for other older Bears too.

Must be really scary to be of a generation that is totally detached from the internet. Must feel totally excluded.

Equally scary is when some people reach a certain age they are unable or unwilling to adapt to new ways of doing things.

Then again a guy a couple of doors down the road is in his 90s and is more switched on to technology than many teenagers.

Well said. It’s quite common in many areas now.

It was a real pain for me to renew. Tried on the link on the email Rangers sent . I managed to change password but for some reason I could not get my ticket in the basket to pay. To cut a long story short used the link in follow follow and it worked brilliantly. Well done guys an old duffer thanks you

I didn’t get email for starters
Not in junk folder either - me and Mrs H

They don’t miss with the daily emails fir 30% off this seasons kit tho

I’ll try again next week - hopefully it’s quietened down a bit

Then if struggling will be on here - :)

Crikey, I must be in that group you mention as I wasn't even aware of any required change of password. Would somebody kindly give me the date the email came out please.

Try dropping the leading zeros in your Rangers number, as that was my problem.
If your number is 0001234567, only enter 1234567 in the box.

Same thing happening with me. You got a link to fix it mate?

I'm just finally coming out of my seethe after Sunday and had a look at my email again this morning for renewal. If you are on the auto renewal for the 4-monthly payment on the dates given in the email, do I need to actually do anything with the whole password change thing?? I don't think I have any Seat Sub credit on my account for this season, so was hoping I didn't have to do anything.

Really scary? I envy them lol

Nah I’m the same as long as you’ve the same bank account money will come out on said dates .

I help out my older mate some of time as well

The password reset on SeatGeek was one of them to make sure he was doing it right as on autrenew for season ticket

While those on autorenew don't need to do anything regarding season ticket renewal at some point you will have to move over to SeatGeek ticketing platform to start your new ticketing account (ignore Step 5)

Rangers number start 5000

At 64 i somehow managed my own. Including the bit about credit and manged to use that.

For some reason I'm still renewing my 32 year old sons ST. He pays for it but I still do the online stuff. Somehow I manged to renew his without using his credit. He's not happy :)

I nearly did that. If renewing more than one ST at a time it only picks up the credit from the account that you’re signed into.

I'm 63.
Have two season tickets.
Two Rangers accounts.
Both accessed via different emails.

I'd never accessed via Rangers numbers.
Changed both passwords eventually.

Then somehow managed to pay for both via one account. And included both in CCCS.

If I thought that was stressful then I had fucking Ross County to endure.

Strange thing was. I had changed his password as we are/were auto renew on 4 monthly payments. I didn't get the option to use his credit and he ended up paying whole thing with a CC.

Could it be because we use same email address?

Anybody still got the link and could repost.
Not receiving link back from Rangers allowing me to change password

You also need to do the password reset steps if you're on CCCS.....it doesn't transfer from one season to the next automatically.

Wasting my time done all the options available they know my new e mail address but I think when I click reset and they say we have sent a link they are sending it to my old e mail as it's not reaching mine, what's boiling my piss is I have messaged them about 10 times to get it sorted and I am still only getting automated replies,I've about had it

This is me.

I know it's not practical for everyone but I'm local to Ibrox and went into the TO and they were very helpful and sorted it for me. Maybe a last resort for fellow luddite coffin dodgers. :)
Just make sure the TO is open before heading down there.

Yes i know that it is optional

Not sure what you mean about password reset
Am I not right in thinking that if you want to update your CCCS preferences you have to do that on the same " renew" site as ST renewals and so to get onto that site you have to go through the password reset steps ?
Apologies if I've got that wrong

Yes it is on the SeatGeek ticketing website but you only need reset the password once to access your new ticketing account

After that you can renew your ST or sign up to the CCCS except those with autorenew

I have no idea tbh. I was using my email address so I could manage my son’s account but changed it a few years ago when he got his adult ST.

As an oldie myself...its the Viagra I'm telling you. Keeps me young.

I've just received my confirmation email and it says that my CCS will be sent as a mobile match ticket via email. What does this mean as I don't have smart phone????
They have always just activated my smart card.

Good for him, but not all fans are the same and struggle with this type of thing
