Was about to post exactly this, although a mention for Super Ally’s robot dance celebration at the Rangers end1989-A wet and foggy day.Lovely send off for Ray Wilkins, great response from the crowd.
1990-Key players injured, two great goals and that Terry Hurlock tackle
1992-A wet night under the lights.Bedlam at both goals.
2004-Strolled it that night.
We were hammered 2-2.1992 - unexpected come back of the season.
Seem to remember davie dodds being on the bench we were that short of numbers.
This goal1994 - McCoists only goal of the season. The game was on the Friday night to let the pitch have a day to recover for the Raith v Sellik coca cola cup final on the Sunday
Thats the one mateThis goal
2004 - Rangers 3 (Novo,Arveladze,Namouchi) Grazer AK 0 - UEFA Cup Group F (46,453)
a good euro night, we thought we were heading for europe after xmas too
Me too. What went wrong then? Defeat in Holland?
Tend to agree with that. Not many would have him in their best 11. He was very good though, always be remembered for his rocket in the 5-1 rout of Celtic.Do want to be seen as critical of Ray Wilkins who was a fabulous player for us in his time with the club, as well as being a total gentleman and a credit to the shirt. But not sure at all about the description used in Sam's brilliant OP.
In the two years since his arrival,Ray Wilkins had confirmed himself as one of the most outstanding midfield talents in the game and was widely believed to have been the finest player in his position seen in a Rangers shirt.
He was terrific, but the finest ever? Wee bit of exaggeration there I'm afraid.
brilliant tackle by Hurlock1990 Most memories are the McCoist robot celebration and the Hurlock tackle. But Johnston's goal was beautifully taken as well. We were without quite a few regulars that day.
I must have left early as I missed seeing Paul Elliott scoring their last minute equaliser while eating a banana
