Big Llorente has been released from Spurs, I believe. Wages would be an issue though, but certainly a big target man to knock down to Arfield.

Mate, that is seriously harsh and disrespectful to Greg Stewart.

His "journeyman" goalscoring and assists stats at Killie, playing not as a winger, but in the "Arfield role" narrow behind the striker, would eclipse anyone in our squad, except Arfield himself.

Our 3rd choice striker last season, saw 90 minutes of action and that was only because Lafferty was cup tied and Morelos suspended.

If we do sign another striker, he will be more of a low key signing, with realistic ambitions of regular 1st team football.

4 perm clubs and 3 loans (with only 2 teams) is hardly what you would describe as "journeyman". Some people talk a lot of shite on here

Defoe, in his prime, was an excellent striker, however, at 37 he is fast approaching the end of his career. With the Lafferty gamble not having come off, and the possibility of Morelos being sold, i was surprised that identifying at least one specialist striker to bring in wasn't at the very top of our priority list.
