Our Full-Backs

Everyone quoting assist stats does realize Tavernier takes 99% of right footed set pieces when he plays vs Patterson who takes 0% of set pieces?

Assist stats are utter bollocks anyway, from memory 2 of the 4 this season were against Livingston, the first an overhit FK (see above!) that Hagi made something outta nothing, the other the ball skims of the back of his head which he knows very little about or intends and Wright scores a wonder goal. I say again, assist stats are utter bollocks as they are currently recorded.

Watching Borna try to get up that wing is painful to watch.

The man just can't run.

Last year physically he was a machine but he has completely fallen off a cliff in that regard. It is impacting the balance of the team.

It is easy to say put forward the case for Bassey ti replace him as physically he has the tools for the job however his final ball, decision making and lack of experience work against him.

His attempt at their goal was pathetic. They highlighted it on Sportscene, he's actually running away from the danger and by the time he does react (very slowly), the Motherwell player has nipped in front of him.

Why does he take set pieces? Because he's the best/one of the best in the team at doing so. Not sure how you're using that metric as a negative against a player.

Patterson is becoming Cafu and Dani Alves moulded into one the longer he sits out the team.

Against Dunfermline he was fairly average whereas Bassey shone. Now obviously it's a bit unfair to purely judge him on one appearance, but when he does get an opportunity he has to do better. If Tav had turned in the performance he did against Dunfermline there would've been threads on here moaning about him.
