Cracking game at Partick there, McCabe talks well and his team were fit and well drilled, would it be silly to offer him a coaching role at us?

Unlucky Airdrie, thought they were excellent but Thistle at the back were superb.

The two ties were excellent viewing, thoroughly enjoyable Scottish football viewing.

Thistle were superb at the back as their manager filled the defence because they can't be trusted not to leak goals from nowhere. It's not great when you have to play this way at home against a team with much less budget. Individually the Thistle players are a bit better but as a team it's Airdrie who controlled the game. Their manager has got them well drilled and punching above their weight. It won't be long before he moves onto bigger things
