Quick question:

Why was it necessary?

The switch to lesser hampden and amateur contracts. I think players could give 4-8 week notice and just leave without a fee.
QP don’t receive any transfer fees for any players they have developed and every summer they have to start again with almost a full new team as any decent players get transfers.
I think the members have realised they need professional contracts to retain a team and survive.
It may we’ll help them move up the leagues?

In addition to already mentioned, they have a good youth set up but don't receive any development fees from other clubs due to their amateur status.
