Rangers B Voted into Lowland League for next season

Good.

Ideally would have had them another level up in the pyramid, but the Lowland League hasn’t exactly been a weekly walk in the park.

Certainly benefitting the players physically and allows the club to keep a good eye on them, then tailor subsequent training/fitness programmes to the individual players needs.

Couple of the teams are really, really poor though.

Need to try sort a better pitch though, would maybe ask the question of Ayr again, or even Morton but that’s maybe a bit too far away.

Morton - 20 mins or so down the M8 from Ibrox.

Whatever happened to the stand thing that was built at the training centre? Thought that was for the B team

It’s in use - open for the Rangers Women games but only holds around 220 I think. There’s also an open standing area which might also hold 100-200 - not sure if that would sufficient in total.

Parking is also an issue - not allowed inside the RTC

The reason that Dumbartons pitch is terrible is because there are 2 teams using it. Same reason Partick thistles is a mess. Ground sharing in Scotland doesn't work with lots of fixtures over winter. So if the b team want to play on a decent surface the only solution would be to get their own pitch somewhere. Easier said than done.

The lowland league and those below it need to allow the better teams to get promoted quicker. I think it’s currently one up into the Lowland league each year and that means it’s going to take years to remove the dross.

Firhill would be perfect, although the pitch is a disgrace.

Sure Firhill was our 1st choice until Partick agreed to groundshare with Queen's Park

Ayr were approached from memory but said no

Also we want a grass pitch

Years ago Murray had one of his moonbeams and announced plans to build a 10,000 stadium in Helen Street, think it may have been at Benburbs ground. This was where the reserves would play. Now obviously we don't have the money to throw at that sort of thing now but it would make sense if we could give the B team, and perhaps share with the Woman's team, a stadium of their own.

It would certainly get enough use to justify if both the B team and ladies team shared their own ground.

Good news that the B team are getting another season in the Lowland. Will aid their development more than playing the same youth players 3 or 4 times a season.

Think our current group are more than capable of competing at a higher level, certainly league 2 and would likely cope well with league 1.

That would be a good idea. If we could find a small stadium and share it between the Woman's team and the B Team . Ideally 2-2.5k capacity. You could even sell joint season tickets for those interested.

Perfect place for a home ground would be the pitch outside the main stand.
