Same old record from Warburton

Just watching the EFL on Quest and after another defeat for QPR (where Lee Wallace conceded a penalty) Warburton trots out the old lines of ‘we had a lot of the ball and good possession but we could not finish’
He also said: ‘It’s all about goals.’
He is almost like a parody of a modern football manager....

speaking in cliches, obtaining a wage under false pretences

Warburton done an OK job from where we were but was never good enough for where we wanted to be.

Wasn't a big enough personality for the job it was to big for him imo.

Remember a poster GioLoyal who was usually sensible lose his shit when folk started criticising Warburton.

He wouldnae have good possession if BBC were doing the stats, I used to wish bad of his team's but I'm over that now (thank you Gerrard) particularly at QPR where he has Wallace, Ball and Kelly who all done very little wrong at their time with us so certainly wish them well

Oh Gio Loyal, that was a laugh.

Was he not the bawbag who got an avatar of a specky, spotty schoolboy on the old forum?

He has the right idea about how the game should be played. He just seems unable to put it into practise though.

I agree. He has enough cliches to do FIFA punditry so maybe he should try this next.
Still annoyed at the manner of him and DW leaving.

He really is a useless manager. Can’t see him being there much longer or getting a decent sized club again.

Warburton actually had me being optimistic and really up for going to Ibrox again after years of constant depression around the club and support.
Ultimately he wasn't up to the job but I don't think he's the absolute useless flop some like to portray him as.If he had similar funds to Pedro who knows how he'd have done? Was 2nd when he left (which left a sour taste admittedly) a position subsequent managers found hard to even get us to.

3rd top for goals scored in the league.

3rd bottom for goals conceded in the league!!

Had the right idea how football should be played however he had no alternative when that didn’t work against the hammer throwers and teams with 10 men behind the ball.

He should be coaching academy level. He always seemed passionate about developing players.

Managers press interviews are a waste of time. You could script what they will say.

It’s the right idea if he’s managing Man City or Barcelona. It’s not the right way to play when you’ve had the standard of player that he’s managed during his career.

It’s the reason he’ll get no further than the Championship.

A man who never learns

Might not get that coveted 14th place for Mr Ferna-an-de-essss.

Hopefully he has maintained some of the improvements brought in by Steve McClaren and Casper, like the new carpets.
