Sima out, Matondo doubtful, Yilmaz to return to training next week

Meanwhile across the city, they are all back fit and firing within a week or so of being declared out for the season.
Correct. Many of their players seem to return ahead of schedule and bust a gut to get back into the side. We` ve got folk who are 50/50 for fucking weeks. Needs to change. Whether thats a medical dept. investigation or what, i don`t know. Would be great to have a season like 55
, when we weren`t beset by major lengthy injuries to key players.

Not the news we were all hoping for, going to be a struggle getting through these upcoming games with the names left if we're being honest....

Questions really need to be asked about the medical regime at the club, whether as regards recruitment, fitness or diagnosis and treatment of injuries. What's going on doesn't seem normal.

You'll have people along shortly saying all teams experience injuries and that it's just part and parcel of football.

The Yilmaz one is a gutter, will be lucky to be back for Old Firm.

The forward planning of going into the season with only an injury prone Yilmaz and Borna to play left back was bonkers and could be the difference between a league title.

Sima got a hamstring injury. I can't think of many players who are back playing again in less than a month.
Agree mate. That's the normal minimum for the lowest grade tear. You genuinely feel okay after a few days and then you convince yourself that you are okay, so you play and get a grade three tear with your first sprint and are out for 3 months. He might start light training in 2 weeks but he will not be back playing for at least a month.

Folk were deluding themselves if they thought he'd be playing again this week. It was clear it was a hamstring issue. No way back from that in a week.

Too many minutes, too soon probably the cause of the recurrence. Manager may have felt, given we were staring down the barrel, that it was worth a gamble. Sadly it hasn't worked.

Thought at the time when Matondo had ice strapped to his thigh after coming off against Hearts that we might potentially be seeing out the season with only Silva, Dessers and MacAusland in attack. Is Wright fit? Cold comfort if he is mind you.

It's incredible the apologists we have on here for the medical staff.

Year after year it gets worse. The diagnosis is usually a knock and out for a couple of weeks

We then don't see them back for months.
