Oh dear :) rightly deserved it was a horror tackle !

Jozo Simunovic will miss Celtic's first two Premiership games of the season after being hit with a two-game domestic ban.

It's a blow for Simunovic who has established himself as a key player under Neil Lennon since the Irishman returned to Parkhead.

But his fate was sealed after the Swiss FA delivered their verdict.

It read: "In accordance with JPP (Judicial Panel Protocol) Annex C, section 4, Part D paragraph 3, the misconduct reported shall be recorded and the resultant suspension applied.

"The outstanding suspension applied for this offence is two first team matches immediate (domestic football)."

Simunovic's impending suspension doesn't affect his availability for Champions League qualifiers and he will be available for the game against Nõmme Kalju on Wednesday night.

Can they do that?

Yes

In order for the game to take place it has to be sanctioned by both FAs and all paperwork handed over including the referee report

The reports contained the offence and the SFA have acted as per their rules - ok in Scotland it can be a different matter at times with those rules as we know ;)

it’s up to the FA where the game is played if they pass on the details, in the past both Wayne Rooney and Paul Scholes missed games at the start of the season after getting sent off in a tournament in Holland.

Cantona missed games in England after getting sent off against us in a pre-season tournament as well

Unfortunately not the Swiss ref sent his report to the SFA so they had to act. I expect normal service to resume once our incompetent officials are back in charge.
Correct. The referee sends the report to the Offending Players Team registered FA
