Site issues

Tbf to the OP there was a post last week about the same thing.
Sometimes it'll redirect me to Macmillan Research or to book a hotel room.
Only started last week.
Sometimes when i try click like on a comment it'll take me to another page & i have to refresh the page.
FYI i dont watch porn on my phone B-)

Exactly the same as me. I started a thread which got chopped. Still happening occasionally
 
I’m the same, IPhone 12 using Safari. It seems some of the buttons become unresponsive like ‘post reply’, or trying to navigate back to the main forum page etc. Just click it and nothing happens then the page becomes unresponsive. Also sometimes getting redirected to different pages as if I’ve clicked an ad but I haven’t.
 
I've been experiencing intermittent issues with the site for weeks now. I put it down to my older tablet and os plus my isp.

Seems I'm not alone though.

Most days, if my device has been shut down the night before, I can't access the site until after midday. Random and bizarre, but there you go.
 
Hacked? Or is plod doing an early reccy ahead of legislation coming into force?

I've got tons of tin foil lads. Anyone needing a hat knocked up, gimme a shout. :p :cool:

I've been having this. Also as well as being unresponsive, sometimes any part of the page will open an advert if tapped on. Never used to be a problem with the same setup, running chrome on a pixel 8.
 
As with the couple of posters above, had this on and off for a few days now too. Can scroll up and down a page but if I click on anything it redirects me as if I have hit an ad. Need to refresh the page to do anything, even to navigate back to bear pit or lounge.

Same here mate
PS don’t watch porn either.
 
A spoofed redirect to a cancer website seems like the type of thing that Timmy might find funny.

Never had any issues whatsoever on Apple iOS or previously on Samsung/Android.

Now? Stability is literally hit and miss. No doubt down to me though and my out of date gear.

It is disconcerting to have a sentence inserted into a post by an anonymous third party, which in the future you may be held responsible for.
Looks like we should all scrutinise our posts as they appear in case, somehow, they’ve been altered.

Do you mean when you click on a thread? A few times recently i click on a thread and instead of opening it takes me to another site page, cant remember now if it was MacMillan or not though.

Aye sometimes its a new thread & sometimes its if i click like or even reply ive noticed it.
Refreshing the page helps for me but its an annoyance.
 
Used to have issues when on safari/iPhone.

Switched to the brave browser app a couple of years ago and no issues ever since.

I've had the same happen to me mate. It could be traffic jitter caused by time outs between dns lookups.

Frustrating as hell when it happens persistently and does get the spidey senses twitching.

Nevertheless as you say, might be good practice henceforth to remain vigilant about verifying what we post.

I'm sure it's nothing too serious but interesting to note that other users are experiencing some related issues.

The insertion was not random, it had some relevance to the author and the thread. Just a bit of immature, primary school cheek really.
 
Go to the app store and download the Brave browser. You won't see another ad or re-direct. It's pretty simple really.
 
I’ve had problems, redirected to Cancer Research site and not able to post replies - which I thought was maybe because I managed to slip in a pun recently.
 
Same issue for me. Like and reply buttons don’t always work then redirected to some advert. Same with sometimes trying to open threads.

Are you using Brave Browser ?

If your answer is Yes, then I'm not sure what the problem is.

I'm using a Galaxy android phone and I think chrome.
