Sportscene this morning

As expected, McLean questions the decisions.
Surprisingly, Stewart says no penalty but no red card.
Thompson says no penalty and a definite red card.
Both making an issue of the alleged sectarian abuse without mentioning the mankies at the weekend.

I've just posted in the match thread, so will C&P below:
At work, just got the Sportscene footage on now.
Not a pen for kilmarnock, simple biomechanics proves that.

Clear red for Bachmann.

Some strike by Tab that rattled the bar.

Candeias and Taylor there really wasn't much in it. Going by the comments I've read craigan made, I thought he'd tried a Scott Brown special.

Alfie truly is a special talent (first half over).

Arfield has been unlucky twice.
Barisic much improved.

Looked a foul on Alfie just outside the box.
More pish refereeing with a clear corner given as a goal kick.

Delighted that wee rat Power tried a nutmeg, lost out and it led to Halliday's goal.

Looked like O'Donnell fouled Davis after being dispossessed in the LB position.

Did I mention Alfie is a special talent? The finish for his 3rd and 4th were fantastic.

Impossibleto tell with the Lafferty goal if it was off or not from the angle used.

Pressure heaped on the ref by McLean at the end there too

Would lover strict liability, but we all know why we don't have it. Also, this Chelsea nonsense Clarke is mentioning, I can't think of a worse club for shouting racist and anti-Semitic abuse at players.

Stevie Thompson brought it up after mentioning the sectarian chant towards Steve Clark , said we had it at the Celtic and Kilmarnock game towards boyd aswell so highlighted their part in it aswell
That almost sounds like balanced and factual reporting from the Beeb, this will not do!

The double standards being reported up here is unbelievable . Sellick fans involved in crowd disorder and sectarian chants is just banter ! Yet when rangers fans chant something offensive the media is all over it decrying Rangers .

After the Killie v Celtc match?
Or did they wait for an opportunity to have a pop at Rangers before Thompson regrettably (for the BBC) mentioned Boyd?

I don’t think they mentioned the poets singing about Boyd on Sundays Sportscene

If they didn’t then its Another example of BBC Scotland protecting poets image but when our fans sing at Clarke they want to introduce strict liability but ignore their sectarian singing at Boyd

Even Clarke ignored it

At his presser all he wanted to talk about was football on the pitch !!

The penalty was one of those 50-50 decisions that could go either way.

It was a red card.

And Clarke should be punished for bringing the game into disrepute with his comments post match.

Yes they did mention in on Sunday along with the coin being thrown.

The double standards from Clarke here is astonishing

Tbf Thompson mentioned the Boyd incident

Watched the game on FreeSports at 10.10pm last night and the commentary was a f*cking joke. Its clear as day a red card. Elbow someone on the face regardless of how hard it was is a red card!

Stewart mentions that Steve clarke shouldn't have to be abused like this at football from 1 stand but yet no one mentioned when 59,000 celtc fans in unison in a whole stadium said the same about Steven Gerrard and every other manger Rangers have had in the last 12or so years

The "Stonewall penalty" that Craigan wouldn't shut up about was nowhere near as cut and dry as he would have you believe. I've seen them given but it could have went either way.

I don't think it was a red card though, very soft and we would be raging if that had happened to one of our players.

The referee and linesmen last night in general were appalling, there is so many easy decisions that they are getting wrong on a weekly basis.

For me the only contentious issue is the red card. I think it is soft, a technical red, perhaps, but a yellow would have sufficed I think. We seemed to play really well, I hope we can somehow keep Alfie for another season.

You’ll change your mind if you watch the clip in post 44.

How can any of yous even say that's no a red? Your arm shouldn't be hitting off someone's face at any speed deliberately, keeper or not
