Match Thread St Mirren v Rangers - 12:30 Sunday - Sky Sports

Lawrence kicks the ball, St boo player falls to the ground, lino can't wait to wiggle his little flag.

Unbelievable isn't it, imagine if we had an actual good striker!?
Or 3-4 other players across the team capable of scoring goals. Tav and Sima are the only two who have contributed. Every Dessers miss gets analysed and some deserve pelters, but it would matter less if others were contributing. We needed a striker in January and Silva was a mistake we couldn't afford.

Dessers is getting the type of numbers a rangers striker needs to get (20 and he doesn’t hit pens is a good return). It’s not volume that is his issue, it’s the importance of the ones he misses.
He’s played pretty much every game, and generally worked extremely hard, as an out and out number 9. 20 goals is the minimum expectation for a Rangers player in that position.

As you say, it’s the chances he misses - plus his usually dreadful hold up play - that should see him replaced.

Came back from the shop and missed Dessers' goal might go back down and buy something else.
Apparently they stuck in a freedom of information request because one of the cameras at the cesspools under the airport bridge may have evidenced a slight tug.

But the Masons stepped in with a technicality that stopped them from waiting 28 days for the video to come back.

I think tbf to him, we've totally relied on his goals since Sima was injured and that magnifies his misses. I think our real problem has been a total lack of goals from the wide areas of our attack. We need players on the left and right who can at least threaten double-figure goal returns.

Dessers should be getting 2 or 3 every game.

If we had a decent goalscorer our defensive issues wouldnt be so obvious.
Dessers has 20 goals, he's not the problem. It's the lack of goals from the wingers and midfielders, who should all be contributing far more. Sima can get a pass on this, he's more than chipped in. Been pointed out that O'Riley for them has more goals/assists this season than our entire midfield, it's not good enough.
