Statement FC make a statement

Tramp Statement
For players and a management team, who have given so much in recent years and have delivered 11 consecutive trophies, to require an escort from Celtic Park while being targeted with missiles, is simply unacceptable.

Utterly disgraceful scenes outside of Celtic Park from a minority of fans tonight with violence aimed towards Police. Officers have been front & centre keeping us safe during this pandemic, to treat them this way at any time is shameful, to do it during these times is a disgrace.

I feel the above is only a small sign of what is to come.

The warning signs have been there for years that a section of their fans feel empowered to do whatever the fxxk they want while they show a complete disregard for the law.

If they are capable of this sort of savagary towards the police and their own team FFS - what can we expect to the general public when their house of cards completely collapses?

One way or the other these beasts need tamed.

Tongue in cheek as they rip our statements.

This bit in particular - a recurring theme and narrative they are pushing -

Aka, we have done so much for you, why isnt it enough?!

Well they be doing it after they've finished the investigation into a quarter of a century of destroying lives?

Or are they taking a break from that to do it?

Another internal investigation.

Nothing to report as per.

Any player who had been taking lingering looks at the exit door, is going to have been on the phone to their agent this evening, demanding a move away in January. Attacking players cars, having to get police escorts home. This could have lingering and lasting implications.

Potential suitors to Lennon's position will be looking at this and quite quickly realise. If they blow 'the 10' then they will get what happened yesterday evening, tenfold. They will be riotous.

I honestly did not expect this level of toxicity so early on in the season. 8 weeks of hardship have tipped them off the deep end.

Everything they stand for and represent in full display, absolutely wonderful, they don't disappoint ,rabids gone rabid.

I think he’ll chuck it today as well. Citing safety of players and fans as the reason.

It suits everyone involved.

Gets their board off the hook for giving him the vote of confidence on Friday. They won’t have to stump up the cash but they’ll look after him financially. Also prevents another repeat of last night which they can ill afford.

Lennon will still have his reputation reasonably intact with their support and he’ll be seen as a true ‘Sellick man ‘ by falling on his sword.

Poetic justice that someone who done so much to create the fevour and bampottery we saw last night ultimately gets done by it.

That all depends on the character of Neic

And we all know that his character is a black stain on a shitty bed sheet

There’s no way Lennon will walk away and give up a pay off. It might be positioned that way but if he does go he’ll be paid off.

The Celtic FC internal investigation department must be the busiest department at the rancid club.

And there was me thinking that last season's title was delivered by email after being awarded by a committee.

They still won't sack him and I'm delighted about that
I’m not so sure. I can’t see Lennon lasting much longer. More dropped points in the league and I think that could be it for him.

The question now is who replaces him. I’m sure Lawwell and co. will be working behind the scenes on this despite the usual vote of confidence guff.

The good news for us is that it’s the middle of the season so any genuinely credible options are probably in jobs already meaning they could instead turn to the likes of Clarke and Neill for whom Celtic would be a step up, someone like Howe who’s not currently tied up, or a desperate plea to Wibble to turn back the clock.

I wouldn’t be worried by any of them.

It's absolutely set up for this to be honest. Every time he exits a job it's always under the narrative of him being forced out, victimised, threatened, fearing for his life and his family's safety. Never just that he's fcked it. This whole palaver plays perfectly into him walking away because it's everyone else's fault and a classic "Poor, brave Lenny" message.

Surely delete the tweet and copy and paste the article. I wouldn’t give them the hits tbh.
