Sterling - “I don’t know if the belief is there…”

He is absolutely bang on the money, his words have also effectively tied the ribbon on the box of our title chances, before they are sent to nochanceville.

Nothing we didn’t already know but better than the usual bullshit trotted out; learn and move on…

Not a single leader in that dressing room.

Be interesting to know where and why the belief went. Really flying, then lost to Motherwell, but followed that up with a very good performance in Lisbon. Beat Hibs either side of losing narrowly to Benfica. No shame in that. Piss poor against Celtic, but at least showed enough fight to get a point and keep the title firmly in our own hands. Then an absolute shocker in Dingwall, followed up by a toothless performance at Dens. Why? I can genuinely only put it down to the mentality of players who have done the same thing so often in recent years, when we get to the big games at the sharp end of the season. Unfortunately these same players are our 'leadership group', so if others are taking a lead from them, it's no wonder we continually fall short. It needs addressed.

Flies in the face of the managers assessment last night.

But he’s honest, and he’s right as we can all see it.

Respect.

Managers always back their team in adversity. Fergie was notorious for saying it was green when it was actually blue.

He called them out at the weekend and didn't get a response, so he's trying a different tact.

Dujon is spot on though and he's right to call his team mates out, it's the majority of them that have chucked the towel in. The manager still believes in them, but he can't make them believe in themselves. It has to come from within.
