Having seen Tam Cowan as an after dinner speaker recently, I would say his ‘patter’ belongs in an age best forgotten. There are enough isms in there to fill a dictionary, and he doesn’t know when to stop either. The epitome of an act well past its sell-by date which stinks more than Gazza’s fish in Durie’s car.No problem with Tam Cowan at all. Totally entertaining guy to listen to most of the time. Cosgrove is very different - a total bore who thinks he's clever but is actually very stupid.
The taxpayer funded gravy train, with seats at a premium. And Stu is extremely jealous of his.I'm sure his bosses and him were all having a good laugh about it as they told him he needed to go to diversity training, basically.a box ticking exercise to try and appease the Rangers fans.
Cosgrove and the BBC are complete scum. The fact he wasn't sacked when he admitted to shouting sectarian abuse at Rangers fans years ago says it all.
As well as being a complete wanker, him and his fat mate are also as funny as a trip to the dentist. Why anyone listens to this is beyond me.
Token Tam.Having seen Tam Cowan as an after dinner speaker recently, I would say his ‘patter’ belongs in an age best forgotten. Ffs I must have been chewing the cud for 7 years then.Steady on here I’m 71
Brilliant
Cosgrove won't read your comment but plenty of 70 plus Rangers fans will.71 years old, tick tock you sad, fat, old bastard.
The man that brought us Joy Division, New Order, A certain ratio, the durriti column (named after an anarchist battalion of the Spanish civil War), the happy Mondays, Madchester and the Hacienda being quizzed by the man that brought us Meet the Magoons.I love the footage of him debating with Tony Wilson - Cosgrove rattles on about the name New Order and right wing imagery. Wilson simply asked him what he thought about the Communards and the prevalence of Communist imagery in the music industry. No answer other than a warble that left and right were different because one wasn’t racist - which misses the point somewhat.
I left Scotland nearly 25 years ago and it shows how rotten and amateurish things are up there that the same football ‘pundits’ are still all on air. Kevin’s is the worst. He was about 80 when I left! Two absolute dinosaurs well past their sell by date
I had no idea the name New Order had far right connotations, Blue Monday was one of the tracks that got me into electronic music, Donna Summer I feel love was another. Still love Trance music to this day.I love the footage of him debating with Tony Wilson - Cosgrove rattles on about the name New Order and right wing imagery. The band were originally called Joy Division and before that Warsaw. Joy Division being the name of a concentration camp brothel. Warsaw - if I remember cite t,y brought out an album or 12 incher featuring a Hitler Youth drummer.I had no idea the name New Order had far right connotations, Blue Monday was one of the tracks that got me into electronic music, Donna Summer I feel love was another. Cheers for posting.
You are correct. The band were originally called Joy Division and before that Warsaw. Joy Division being the name of a concentration camp brothel. Warsaw - if I remember cite t,y brought out an album or 12 incher featuring a Hitler Youth drummer.
Prepared to be corrected on the above as my memory fails!
I try to avoid mirrors these days tbh.If any Rangers supporters are still funding this Rangers hating organisation through the tv licence fee then they need to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror
Hopefully that's not too far in the future. The taxpayer funded gravy train, with seats at a premium. And Stu is extremely jealous of his.
Without sounding up my own arse, I'm a proponent of balance in the media as a diet of overly right wing dominance isn't the answer either, but anyone with the merest notion of an inquisitive mind can see why the Tories want to defund the BBC.
The watershed moment of the dodgy dossier was seen as the nadir of the organisation. When in actual fact, it has only went downhill since.
I honestly reckon that when David Attenborough ceases to broadcast, one of the last barriers, from a public sentimentality perspective, to an abolition of the mandatory licence fee will be removed.
How the BBC exists thereafter and for how long (presumably on a subscriber model) is anyone's guess.
Well put sir….The taxpayer funded gravy train, with seats at a premium. And Stu is extremely jealous of his.

Still got the Blue Monday 12” vinyl along with just about everything The Jam had on vinyl. Hoping for a wee payday sometime in the future. The band were originally called Joy Division and before that Warsaw. Joy Division being the name of a concentration camp brothel. He’s just another hater pretending to be an intellectual the horrible mess that he isWhat exactly will they be teaching him on this course?
Cosgrove is forever preaching about diversity and going on about his black wife and mixed race child like a badge of honour. He complains about the prejudice his family have faced.
But when it comes down to it, his hatred of Rangers (let’s be honest anything connected to Protestants or Unionists) is never far from the surface.
Ready for the glue factory. At 71, it’s a matter of time before he’s put out to pasture
He has been with the BBC since the Savile era, I guess that tells you all you need to know about their opinions ok staff conduct are that timeIt says a lot about the BBC's hiring and broadcasting standards that their employees have to be sent on a course to not behave like a prick. I would have thought that should be taken as a basic requirement.
He's going to come out of any course the same bitter, obnoxious twat he has always been. A box ticking exercise if ever there was one. What exactly will they be teaching him on this course?

Wasn't he was arrested at Queen Street station that evening for breach of the peace and being drunk & disorderly? At Queen Street Station after we beat them in Cup Final in 90s.
Do you honestly think that law will ever be implemented with any great gusto? Especially against people like Cosgrove who have an agenda against anything Rangers/Loyalist/Monarchy? Even Police Scotland have criticised the law as unworkable and the ridiculous 2 hour online training to 'allow them to understand and implement' this ridiculous law.He had his usual snide dig at the weekend, I posted on another thread, full blown Rangers Hater…April the 1st isn’t far away….that will probably be the end of them. The Hate law will get them if they don’t chuckitt first.
I’d stay away from criticising patter if I were you. That’s the worst on here by some distance.Having seen Tam Cowan as an after dinner speaker recently, I would say his ‘patter’ belongs in an age best forgotten. Why shouldn’t he just trouser them?Hopefully Gough will be taking the lady's front bottom to court for defamation of character. Any damages he wins should be given to Erskine or an anti-racist charity.
Jealousy will get you nowhere.I’d stay away from criticising patter if I were you. That’s the worst on here by some distance.
shockerooni - the scumbag Cosgrove takes the coward's way outCosgrove, the media mogul, the opinionated wordsmith, the ex-Channel 4 executive - and he has shat it today.
He’s away on holiday, apparently, so we won’t get his take on his breach of guidelines.
