The board should always have replacement manager in mind, even if we’re winning league titles and performing well. It’s their job to identify potential replacements, because as we saw with Gerrard they can be needed at a moments notice. They should have known who their man is weeks ago.

Exactly. Any manager with the ability to change things up and play an attacking formation would be an improvement.

We had to rush and make the GVB appointment. If ever there was the luxury of time to get it right, it’s probably now given we are 7 points back, and no European football.

However the problem of the Ross Wilson’s of the world remain, and he will be helping select the next manager.
