I agree with you. He needs to go this summer. I’m done with him and plenty others.
 
His legs have completely gone and we've been over reliant on him for years. He's been a great signing for us, but he has to go for multiple reasons.
 
Of course he will and the fan boys will still stick up for him and tell us about his numbers. He’s good at learning from it though… or not. A disgrace of a captain

He's a hall of fame legend and has great numbers and records that have fk all to do with rangers winning any trophy's. He's a protected species and deserves more time to break more personal records

Easy to just pin the blame on a couple of players but unfortunately we’re a shambles at every single level from top down.

Tav didn’t sign Davies at £3m and pay him £1.4m per year to sit in the stand, same goes for about another half dozen or more players on truly embarrassing wages for what they are capable of.

We can pin a lack of confidence through the whole side on conceding 6 goals in two games though. Including one after 20 seconds in the biggest game of the season.

Should’ve conceded after 35s tonight too.

The league campaign was going to plan until our captain failed to keep his focus just 22 seconds in to the biggest OF for years.

He's failed as a leader for seasons now.

He's on his 7th Rangers manager. I fear he could be onto his 8th before long.

To blame that performance on James Tavernier is ridiculous , our midfield performance has been shocking , last two games .
 
Tonight he had yet another really poor game - constantly giving the ball away.

He stays in the team primarily because he's still capable of big moments in big games, however he's also still capable of the most horrendous blunders (see recent Celtic game for example).
 
When you have a right back who can't defend but is your main threat going forward, more often than not you're winning nothing, just a poor team with even worse recruitment the last 6 years

The blame tonight isn’t on tav, it’s on the fact there is no movement up front or in midfield. Tav looked up multiple times tonight and we had 4/5 players across the forward line just standing there. No one in the middle of the park.

So what has been our problem the last 9 seasons that we have won only 3 trophies and bottle when under pressure? As I’m pretty sure from board level to ball boys there is only one consistent there. And that’s a captain that’s somehow got into our hall of legends despite Celtic winning 8 out of 9 titles he’s been here.

It’s a comfort blanket for some. They moan about the old guard etc not having the right mentality when it’s only really three players in this squad that qualify as that. Most of the new players have also been shite, if not worse.
 
He cannot justify his position by set pieces alone now. Positional play is awful, passing is terrible. A half decent team will easily exploit his weaknesses now.
 
He’s not been at his best and he has his weaknesses, but he’s the last one that should be getting criticised.
He’s carried this team for years with his goals and continually pulling our shot shy strikers out a hole.
Point your anger at someone else there’s plenty to choose from.

But how many of those games did we win? Tav scoring two goals in one game at scum hut, neither where penalties and we still lost basically sums his rangers career up of so near yet so far
